Another example of where Americans are loosing employment, comes from Apple. The iPad is made in Chengdu, China, and is owned by Hon Hai Precision Industry.

An article from the South China Morning Post.
www.scmp.com...
“It is not just the iPad that is turning into a hot seller - Apple shares have broken through the US$600 mark, briefly lifting the market capitalisation(sic) of the world's most valuable company to just under US$560 billion. That makes it worth more than a dozen Hutchison (SEHK: 0013) Whampoas and more than three HSBCs. Put another way, it is more than twice the size of Hong Kong's gross domestic product, which stood at US$224.5 billion last year.
Even based on its closing market capitalisation(sic) of US$545.96 billion after the shares retreated, it would still be one of the world's 20 biggest economies, coming in at 19th spot, ahead of Switzerland, where GDP totalled(sic) US$527.9 billion in 2011. “
You would think with all the money they maid, their state owned newspaper could afford a spell checker.
No wonder they are so happy.

As far as I understand it, the spelling is correct for UK English.
Also, the article is about how much Apple gained, not China, so I don't see the relevance of your statement.
As for mistakes, anyone can make them, as you proved when you used "maid" instead of "made" (I suppose that's what you wanted to write).

And if something is selling well I don't see why the employees of the company doing the selling shouldn't be happy. I suppose all the Americans working for Apple are happy too.

No, that's the correct spelling.

Now that's ironic.
