What Happens When You Mix Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate MgCl2(H2O)6 with Colloidal Silver?

Would there be a reaction?

assume it is 50% of each by volume i.e 50% of magnesium chloride flakes mixed with the same volume of colloidal silver of 5ppm concentration or similar...

What Happens When You Mix Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate MgCl2(H2O)6 with Colloidal Silver and Sodium Bicarbonate NaHCO3?

assume it is 33% volume of each product.

would there be any reaction.

reason i am asking is to investigate the possibility of new anti deodorant/antiperspirant as an alternative to the carcinogenic commercial products.

colloidal silver and bicarbonate would act as a antibacteria combination and the magnesium chloride would as a kind of oil to enable it to adhere to the skin.also it is good for you by all accounts.

i read people have lost their body odors after ingesting 5 grams of it daily.

5 grams of magnesium chloride hexahydrate contains 600 mg of magnesium....

Why not make a pectin gel out of colloidal silver and/or bicarbonate instead if you're looking for something more solid. I have tested colloidal silver with body odors personally and I can say it makes a very big difference, especially on the arm pits area
. No bacteria = no 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid = no smell.

why not just keep it simple? Mix baking soda with olive oil, to make a paste, put in a jar, use cotton balls to apply to underarms for deodarant, it dissolves instantly and works great

For the first question,

2 AgNO3 + MgCl2 = 2 AgCl + Mg(NO3)2

Source

It seems from this source you would get Silver Chloride and Magnesium Nitrate.

Why you would want that is beyond me...

Homemade deodorant

1/3 cup Corn Starch

1/3 cup Baking Soda

10 drops of Antibacterial Essential Oil (tea tree, lavender, or eucalyptus)

10 drops of Anti-fungal Essential Oil (tea tree, peppermint, sandalwood, or eucalyptus)

2 tablespoons Vitamin E Oil

3 tablespoons Coconut Oil

Mix and store in a cool dry place.

(You can omit the essential oils and vitamin E oil. The coconut oil stays hard at temperatures below 76 degrees F. Over that and it may make your mixture a bit gloopy.)

Works better than anything you can get over the counter and no chance of a chemical reaction.

AgNO3 is not colloidal silver. Colloidal silver is elemental Ag and the only thing that the salts could effect might be the stability of the colloid.

Correct! My mistake. Not familiar with colloidal silver, I looked up something quick and thought it was silver nitrate in solution.

Thanks for pointing that out.
