The image (that appears before you) that is seen/heard/known is constantly changing, moving. The scenery of life cannot be grasped, try and catch now. If you have a camera you might beable to capture the colors of this moment and if you have a video recorder you will capture the sound. However, this moment is constantly changing and includes taste, touch, thought, emotion and the sensation of your body. This fleeting, ungraspable, constantly changing scene is like an illusion because it is not fixed, it is transitory. Watch the tv and see that the picture is moving, changing. The 'things' (content) pass.

The seer/hearer/knower never moves and never changes and is always constant. Can any picture appear on the tv if there is not a screen present? The screen has to be there before any picture can appear. The screen is not noticed because of the pictures but the screen is primary.

The 'external world' is very pretty, moving colors and patterns and sounds etc, it's a light show - like fireworks, see it this way and then you can say the 'external world' is not decietful. However, the light show is not seen like this by most, they get all upset and concerned, they believe in good and bad, right and wrong. Humans 'think' it matters. The human mind labels and names, looks at previous data and then 'thinks' it knows what it has seen, but really it has just looked at it's conditioning. Not many see and hear and that is why Jesus healed the blind. To see what is here is unusual for humans because they are seeing the inside of their minds. The mind works with past and future and somewhere else, so the mind produces illusions and it is deluded. The mind builds a fantasy about what 'might' happen tomorrow and then it has to build an escape route from the event, that hasn't happened, it only happened in the mind, the mind builds stories, fantasies, but doesn't realize that they are not true, fear is created and the body feels it.

The mind (with it's story bubbles) is just another appearance appearing to the seer. The mind is like lucifer as it promises knowledge of other/better times and places, it is a deciever. The mind is king for most people. However, the mind is 'seen and known' and when this is recognized the mind has to step down and the true master takes his place.
