3D Printer Produces Amazing Detail on Sand Grain Sized Objects

Just saw this while looking at the news and thought it was pretty amazing.
I've never seen a 3D printer produce such tiny objects with that amount of detail.

The advantage of having such a precise printer is that it can make structures that are small enough to work with individual cells, according to the university. They could print scaffolding to grow cells, parts for biotech devices or parts for nanotechnology.

This is great stuff.
but why have they not made a metal they can use?
and why are they not useing very hard plastics?

and I dont see them puting the unit with a belt platform?
then they could make Long things.

and add a optic lazer scanner to it.
some you can move the part you just did to one side.
then it scanns the edge of it.
so it can then carry on building some thing Very big!

you could make a bike.
witch you can not do now.
becouse it is to wide and long.

and with a optic lazer scanner.
you can copy things!

Probably because soon they'll be creating sand grain (or smaller) robots which will gain a mind of their own and kill us without us even being able to see them coming.

They'll go down your throat and get you from the inside!

The real question is will computers ever produce art. I hope that is the one thing a computers logic will never be able to understand.
