I personally believe in the existence of UFO’s as I have seen 2 in my lifetime, now weather these craft were piloted by man or something else I do not know. What I do know is that if it was man that was flying the craft, then we are being lied to on a grand scale. After seeing my first UFO I really began to ask myself some serious questions about the subject of contact past or present. And what really bothers me is the thought that governments of the world the U.S to name one of the many have had contact with EBE’s, reverse engineered alien craft, and are or at one time working with EBE”s.

Now if we have at one time or another and I mean “we” as a race recovered alien technology be it a disk or something else I do not have a hard time believing. I think this is very possible if not probable, that at this point that we would have found or came across alien tech. What I am having a hard time with is the case for government personnel or people in the “no” working in conjunction with EBE’s. Why would such a creature even consort with a race that is far far technologically in advanced compared to them? I have heard about treaty’s that have been drafted as I am sure most of you have. When you really think about this it brings up a huge flaw I believe in the theory. Modern man drives cars, trucks, boats, fly’s planes and O yea we also sent a couple of guys to the moon. Now when you consider that these EBE”s can warp from one star system to another what we have accomplished doesn’t sound so great.

Let us just imagine that you are the leader of some nation and your top brass comes in and tells you and your staff that we have made contact with an alien life form and there will be a meeting point. At the meeting point you encounter said creatures, exchange phone numbers, and have a treaty drafted that allows alien technology to be presented to humans in exchange for O lets say Gold. Let us also assume that said creatures traveled light years to get here and are 10000X more advanced than humans. Now if this ever happened seriously what would be the point in these creatures even showing the leader that they met with and the other officials even the smallest amount of respect for authority over there planet or nation? It would be as if you walked outside to an ant mound announced yourself and tried to make some type of arrangement with the ants. You know what would happen they would sting your ass, and not know any better for doing it. Whatever these creatures are using the gold for it has to be so far above our heads that all we know is that they are using gold and gold is pretty. Now what we do with this alien tech sends man running into the future 100 years faster than it would have. But even still this tech that was given to us would be like giving gasoline to a Neanderthal to start a fire. Is he going to start a fire yes he is. Is it still going to take him another 800 years or more to invent a car yes it is. So again what would be the point?

Even if these were peaceful creatures, trying to communicate with us would be pointless. It would be the same thing as me having a conversation with my dog about thermo nuclear mechanics; I don’t think he’s going to get it. Why would you have any kind of arrangement with something that you could wipe out? I do not discredit anyone claiming that they have been abducted or had some form of contact just saying I really don’t see it happing the way that it is often presented. I think if anything that it is a lot more sinister than we imagine what is going on. Your thoughts ATS?

Perhaps we have recovered alien technology but we don't know how to use it yet.

But if aliens have crashed and we do know how to use their technology then you're right, why haven't we used it for anything truly useful?

The way I see, is that if we, the human race, had captured alien technology it would be so far advanced that we would barely even recognize it for what it is, and would have zero chance of trying to back engineer it. It'd be like giving a computer to a 16th century man. The only thing recognizable to him would be the screws! Aliens might not even use any type of fastener though, they may be able to bind things together using sonics/sound (sonic screwdriver, anyone?) Carrying the analogy a bit farther, itd be more like giving the most advanced technology we have today, to a Neanderthal.

I would say that in the case of say, the alleged J-rod helping humans back engineer a ship, it is a little perplexing. He may have no choice and be threatened with torture or death, but wouldn't some other crew rescue them immediately?

Any actions such as abducting a noticeable number of people all at once or worrying the governments and military to the the point of noticeable defence measures, may be the tipping point that philanthropic ETs would not want.

They could wipe us out easily but they have no reason to, in fact in the long run it could be in their best interests not to.

Their oft mentioned "concern of waring mankind's missiles and nuclear weapons" could have undertones of general empathy for humans and at the same time concern about what effect a nuclear war could have on nearby ET personnel, ships and bases.

I just dont think that there would be a break down. Over 50% of people belive in the Existence of extraterrestrial life. And as far as religion just because they are more advanced than us does not mean that there is not a creator if that’s what you believe.

The 'leap' is nothing close to what would happen if we had working alien technology.

Regardless of the fact that there would still be people who would believe that the Universe was created by some intelligence, the nature of these beings would go against what is stated in the Torah, Bible and Koran. Would the nature of the Gods of those religions remain unaffected as much one who simply created the Universe and had no human affiliation?

Different cultures excel in different areas of technology. for example the Vikings had far superior ocean going vessels than the Arabs, yet the Arabs were far superior in mathematics and the sciences. Yet the two cultures met and traded. Maybe the EBE'S are advanced in space travel and other technologies but it does not mean they are a superior species. I am sure that there are things they could learn from us. Earth has had many periods in history were we seemed to go backwards rather than forwards, the collapse of rome an the onset of the dark ages is just one example. Say life began on Earth and the EBE's planet at the same time and both species advanced at the same rate yet the EBE'S had continued progress . Look how far humanity has come in 150 years. from horse and cart to mach 3+ super planes and sending man to moon and probes to the furthest reaches of the solar system. Now how long until we develop inter stellar travel? We might not be as far behind the EBE'S as you think. And who's to say their war like anyway?

In the bible is states that God created man in his own image. It does not say anywere that we "man" were the only things that were created. I still think organized religions would be safe. And the bible and the Koran are not that far apart from one another.

we need look no further than our own moon! the moon is full of helium 3 and a kilogram of that stuff could power a city the size of New york for a year. the tech is already available. I have already stated in another topic that IMHO helium 3 is our next fuel source. Also its a clean fuel so no pollution!!!!
