Politics and Online Poker

You know, I didn't think of this, but it just hit me. Shocker, I know. But which candidate, is going to bring back online poker?

I think that is the only candidate I am going to vote for, for POTUS.

Man, I miss kicking butt on poker. Used to win a lot on Dracula Poker and Bo Dog. Now those are some easy sites to win some moolah.

Plus, I want to try out the 3-D virtual sites. But, those are blocked to the US. Total bummer there.

As I understand it, it's perfectly legal. Although I haven't gambled with Bitcoin because I don't want to lose it.

I feel your pain.

I'm much more of a horse-player myself. A horse-player that lives in Minnesota. The local track is open for about 20 weeks out of 52.

Gotta have my online horse racing when it's winter here. If they took those sites down I'd be a seriously unhappy camper.

Well there are other bitcoin poker websites, that was just the first one I found. I visited one a few months ago to see what it looked like and there were people playing it.

Whats funny is you can play online poker in many oppressive countries: Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, China, North Korea. But not here in the land of the free. Nope our masters don't want us plying a trade and bettering ourselves. They don't want our standard of living to be decided by our commitment and desire. They want us working for them at the wage they deem fit.

I was a winning playing on Full Tilt. When they were shut down I lost all the money I had one there. The company had some internal problems but most of them were due to the United States government and now the company is dead and I lost a decent amount of money. They(US gov't) seized some $100 million in player's money and then accused Full Tilt of running a ponzi scheme which was a blatant lie. What really gets me upset is the US paid undercover agents to play online and to trace the transactions. I would love to have a few words in a private room with those traitors.

Those companies shut down were not charged with online gambling, they were charged with bank fraud because transactions for online gaming were illegal so the companies used a 3rd party to get around the unconstitutional law. The law that prohibits those transactions was passed as pork on a Port Security bill so most of our lawmakers didn't even know the signed it into law.

Now states are slowly passing bills to allow online poker and online casino gambling but so far no company is open for business. It will happen eventually because of the amount of revenue it will generate. My concern is once taxed the states will be greedy and cause the rake to be too high to make the games profitable for a skilled player.

Ron Paul is the only candidate. We already saw what Obama is capable of, and I have my doubts that Romney will do anything positive because of his Mormon roots.

Don't look for it to happen in Pa. They just opened the casinos here about 3yrs ago. I'm sure they have a lot more pull to keep that income , plus the state gets a sizable chunk which was supposed to lower property taxes and isn't happening.

Saying that FTP had some internal problems is like saying OJ Simpson had a few problems with his ex wife's lifestyle. They paid themselves millions of dollars that wasn't theirs. For a year and a half they knew they weren't getting all the money from depositor's accounts. They knew they were insolvent and still paid themselves.

On top of that they were paying their sponsored pros ridiculous money many of whom actually still owe the company millions. They are a bunch of degenerates who do what degenerates always do take a good thing and ruin it. Stars had no problems paying out which proves that the government didn't screw you near as much as FTP did.

I distinctly remember an episode of Poker After Dark where Howard Lederer was going on and on about the Patriot Act and the expansion of executive powers during the Bush Administration. I've always wondered if this had anything to do with the events of Black Friday.
