Since CNN is a left wing news network a bias network like the rest of the other news networks i would say that those who voted Yes are possibly Obama supporters

Because honestly i dont feel optimistic about the job market so ATS how do you feel about the Job Market?

I voted no on this poll.
But you must remember that we still have about 65 percent of the people employed in the US.
These people might have a good outlook.
But 65% is still not quite 2/3.

I'm optimistic about the job outlook in India and China. Not the USA though.

Peter Morici was on Dylan Ratigan's show on Friday (he's a noted economist seekingalpha.com... ), and he said he's forecasting a slowdown in the economy in the coming years BECAUSE of the job market. The numbers are skewed. So much of our middle class job base has gone overseas that things will be rough, even if the stock market continues to do well (all the Federal Reserve money has to go somewhere).

I live in one the worst areas that was effected by the housing market collapse and in the last year things have started to get much better. New places opening instead of closing and everybody seems to expanding and hiring. Homes selling and new ones being built again. It is a good start if things keep up.

The jobs market stinks.

Most new jobs are low pay.

Many are part time / no benefits.

Many existing jobs keep getting popped back to part time.

The unemployment figures are tainted and biased.

CNN has thousands of point & click shills.

Raises are cheap chicken feed.

Employers lay off full timers, then wait a while, then hire part timers for less pay and benefits.

A few pockets of "sunshine" might exist, but not for long,
and not for the majority of the unemployed workforce.

Other than all that, things are pretty good !!

Wait till the new 2013 Congress (The mighty 113th) gets into session,
Watch taxes go all the way up to the Sun !

The question is all touchy-feely. The poll has no bearing on the job market or the economy, just how the respondents felt about.

Perhaps, a better question should have asked if, to their knowledge, they can demonstrate how the economy is improving or worsening. Of course, that would have been results the news would have to talk about for more than 15 seconds.

I started working in the mid 90's at $8 an hour. By the early 2000's I was making $16 an hour. All those jobs disapeared by the time Dubya left office.

Now I'm luckey if I can get $8 an hour part time in retail. With the cost of driving I'm spending more then half my income on just getting to work.

I quit working and went on welfare. I'd rather sit on my rear then pratically work for free.
