The Federal EPA ceased releasing public data after they detected Tellerium 132 on US Soil shortly after Japan's criticality.

Japan still can not control all the nuclear material in the cooling ponds and reactors that's melting down. It's far from over.

Japan was siding with Iran and even offered to them that they would build their nuclear reactor and help them. They got b-slapped and in the end...the fallout will hurt America more than Japan.

Just my opinion, but I'm guessing once they detected Te-132, it was no longer a question of having had a melt down or not. Public data makes people nervous when it's real bad news and for some reason TEPCO is being protected from this mess so mums the word.
