I don't think weed would've messed with his mind to that point. Maybe he figured that seeing as he'd been caught anyway it was best to not mention any specifics in the hope they'd be easier on him...

If he could do that back then though one or more good enough hackers could probably get something. If one or more anons decide to turn their attention towards this area anything could happen I guess. If files like that are there and accessible from the net though they'll probably be behind a stupid amount of security by now.

What would they do though if they got it? Ok they dump it on the net but then what? Because getting caught for that might go beyond being arrested to maybe being killed on sight if caught. They'd have to be prepared big style for something like that, and it's questionable whether or not any anons with the hacking skills would see it as worth the risk, given the consequences that could result from it. You're talking about changing the world completely if you find that stuff and then dump it online, (and maybe not for the best, maybe we're not ready if they're out there and things would turn to chaos with people freaking out.) would be a seriously strange and heavy situation to be in.

I was just thinking, what if the hacker group Anonymous were to hack into government files and release information about ET life? These guys (or girls) seem to be able to hack into anything, who's to say they won't release something related to ET's/life on other planets?

The problem with Anonymous is that they are, well Anonymous

What that means is anyone can claim to be Anonymous, whether serious hackers with a goal to 'help', or script kiddies with the intent to cause mayhem, or government operatives with their own agendas... Being Anonymous, there is no way to tell

Now ATS was recently hacked and that was claimed to be a group of Anonymous. My account and email was one in that list. If this was Anonymous then I have a real problem with the bozos... but it could have been anyone claiming to be Anonymous

They also hacked NASA emails... yeah I downloaded that list
Always good to have contacts emails to the horses mouth

But as others have said, the top secret stuff is not on the internet,,, and to access the other portals like NIPRNet and SIPRNet and JWICS, you need a DoD id card and must be at a .mil access site

Now NASA also recently admitted to being hacked many times over the years, the latest report is 13 times... and they 'lost' a laptop with code algorithms that can control the ISS

Personally i think that is all a set up to give the government reason to control the internet

Surely NASA cannot be THAT incompetent can they? If they are, then how can they keep aliens and UFO's a secret? Think about it. If they leave their comps unprotected... and all that ET info was there, it would be all over the web already

Yeah it really makes you wonder what's actually going on with them.

I really think that you have just slightly missed the point here. If they were really hiding info on ET's wouldn't the best way for them to hide it is hire incompetent people with very little information or access to the good stuff as a distraction? "How could we possibly do something like that, look at all the incompetent people we have working for us!" Scapegoat city.

Keep in mind, may of these files - including pre computer data - are simply not in digital form. They are in some file cabinet locked away in Ft. Knox or some other heavily guarded location. Anon can't get to a piece of paper or a physical picture no matter how good they are at hacking.
It may be easier to torch a file in a fire place than to erase its existance off a government data base - closed or not closed

Well they did a great job hiding the Airline Safety study results. Took an act of Congress to order them to release that data... and I still haven't seen it

It's probably safe to assume they're in every form they can get them in, people hoarding that type of info will probably want it in every format possible for when they want access. I'd guess there's maybe some laptops out there with some related data on them right now, but they'll probably be in more careful hands than that NASA one was!

Anonymous. Our best shot at the truth?

No, our best shot at the truth is to rid this subject of the giggle factor that makes the average joe dismiss it so easily.

Get this subject taken seriously is our best shot at the truth. That is going to be hard to do because this subject attracts some very mentally disturbed folks......

All subjects do, at the same time we could probably do with more scientists having the courage to come forward and less shills making it seem like we're still in the dark ages. I can understand and respect some agents/military doing their jobs in a progressive disclosure scenario and covering/obscuring tracks, but still feel it's too over the top at the moment and that should be relaxed a little. It's 2012 and clearly time we moved on a bit.

Stop believing in this Anon crap, it's just a hacker group for USA Gov.

No they're not part of any gov or agency. They're just another naive hacker group. They'll crap in their very pants before they will ever be able to pull something highly incriminating off...

Forget it.

Anonymous is an idea and so it's a very powerful thing. It cannot and won't be killed by those who want to manipulate it for their own selfish ends. It'll be used, abused, warped, and dragged through the mud, but some works of genius have done and will still be done in its name.

you've got it all wrong. Anonymous is not V, they are immature, unemployed mostly driven by fantasy. they need to start earning for themselves or better still hack some really incriminating stuff on UFOs.
