Observer, now a poster.

Hi all,

I want to go into detail, and I'm sure I will as questions arise, if they do.
I was brought up as a hardcore christian fundamentalist. I was a youth leader, a church musician. I know far too much about "the bible" in all it's factions and intricacies. I am no longer christian due to everything I learned after HARD fact finding, plus questioning the nature of the christian god, and cross referencing a lot in other cultures within the studies. I've studied many cultures, as well as psychology and philosophy.
I studied engineering and mechanics. I'm now studying physics.
Hobbies aren't important.
I'm here to talk and learn.
This is probably a bad intro, but ah well.
I hope to communicate with you all on a decent and well informed basis.

Welcome to the site. Best thing is that you only have a few more replies to do, then your good to go out in the big forum area. You can get to your 20 posts real quick by replying and welcoming some of the other new members.

Be sure to try out our Ask ATS with the "search words" of your choice. I'm sure you will find many threads to pick from to add your thoughts and opinions too. We encourage everyone to please contribute to existing threads rather than start a new one. This will also help guarantee that your thread won't end up as a duplicate located elsewhere. The ATS Search feature is your friend!

I don't want to randomly reply though to the odd crazy thread. I'd rather be selective, hey. BTW, there's a thread in the 2012 section I'm concerned about. Ah well, I'm sure nature will run it's course.
