Military-Industrial Complex

I was watching a Mel Gibson movie the other day, cant remember the name, and he mentioned the Eisenhower's Military Industrial Complex. What is this?

During the Eisenhower administration, there were supposedly several (dozens) of underground government facilities built, including Mt. Weather, the infamous FEMA HQ. Mt. Weather is purportedly also the secret headquarters of the Shadow Government.

Ironically, it was Eisenhower that warned us upon leaving office to beware the Military-Industrial Complex, as it could have the power to subvert the genuine American government.

Thats very interesting, why dont someone look for all the connections in the government, like a big ass project, not only officials, but also the secret agencys themselves? I would help in any way i can, although im new at the whole research thing. And another question. Why would any secret organization allow this site to operate? Are they bennifitting in some way?

Don't they have that Eisenhower quote in the beginning of the movie JFK.
When I heard Eisenhower say that, I remember thinking how prescient he was...or was he?

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

Unfortunately, this warning was basically given to deaf people. Shortly afterward the complex did away with JFK and has been rolling onward ever since. I am intrigued by it and all of it's forms of corruption.
Recently I came across this article that explains the current state of affairs very clearly. Once again it falls on deaf ears, as you can see by the amount of people interested in it. At any rate here it is again.

Again, that is interesting. Tut, how would you like to help me get a team together on the site to research the Military-Industrial Complex, The Carlyle Group, and any other connections? These facinate me, and i would love to make a dent in the corrupt goverment.

Yes, the organizations who keep secrets are benefitting from sites like this. The more people there are speculating on issues which may or may not be true, the issues which they have gone to painstaking lengths to conceal, are only further marginalized by our speculation.

A massive, yet subtle disinformation campaign as been in effect likely since before America was even a country, but more recently since the Roswell incident. At that point, the decision was made to effectively create a world in which the 'common' people could exist without knowledge of something inevitably cataclysmic or inconceivable.

Eisenhower carried on the work of Truman to conceal information (benign or otherwise) concerning the Roswell incident. Roswell may not have been real. It may not have even been an incident. I could have been a farce, a diversionary tactic, or an excuse to set certain events in motion.

I think it has been used for all of these purposes over the course of the last 50 or so years. A diversion, a deliberate disinformation campaign, a cause to speculate, and an excuse for developing technology.
