Good point. I can`t see RP getting to the oval office and I know alot of people on your side of the pond and this side aswell would love and hope he does but,......ya know, as long as the guy is still living and breathing and turning the skrew on the "elite" everyday and making them squirm that a good thing.

isn't it apparent by now, ron paul is never going to be president. the wealthy do not want him in, therefore he will not be president. geez...you people act like you have a say in this, and for being on ATS, one would think the delusional thinking would have gone away.

Think again, and think for yourselves in terms of what you really want. Vote for that; not for what you think the outcome might be due to popular doubts and cynicism.
This is not a pissing match of who looks the best to be the POTUS!

Our lives are in jeopardy, the world over, not just in the USA; What we decide here will reverberate all over the world.
Vote with your heart, regardless of what the outcome could be or what the odds are.

Ummm.... it's called being educated... You must not be educated about the Electoral College

The Electoral College was established by the founding fathers as a compromise between election of the president by Congress and election by popular vote.

So in other words Ron Paul could win by a popular vote land slide (in a fictitious scenario where there is no voter fraud), but it would not matter because the Electoral Vote majority is what makes the determination.... and, yes, they usually vote in line with the popular vote, but they are not obligated to.

It happened in two different elections (Hayes/Tilden election of 1876 and the Harrison/Cleveland election of 1888), and in my opinion, a 3rd with the 2000 election regarding bush jr, in which the government played that sleight of hand really well... bush lost popular vote.. won electoral vote... oh there was a miss count... just let the court decide...

1. He stands AGAINST the people that decides who is given the office
2. Your vote means CRAP all!

Romney will win the republican candidate, then Romney and Obama will perform a private debate infront of people like the bilderburg group.. and they will decide who 'wins' the vote.
