Perhaps not entirely on topic but may I share this with you.
A very close friend was on the 15th floor of a Tokyo office when the quake hit. He immediately carried out his escape plan, well thought out
beforehand. That is, get down and out as quickly as possible. It became so intense he had to haul himself hand over hand down the banisters. By the
time he got outside the worst was over. Those outside sorted themselves into two distinct groups. Those with families set off for home and those
without, wait for it.....went back upstairs and went back to work. Employ Japanese people if you want to get the job done.
As he set of walking a taxi pulled up with some frightened work colleagues inside. He got in with them partly to reassure them. It would have been
quicker walking by the time he got back. One thing he noticed. Every bicycle shop he passed was packed full of businessmen waving handfulls of cash.
You want to make money out of Armageddon?
Get into the bicycle business.
