President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday their nations stand together in their efforts to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon.

The two leaders met at the White House to discuss Iran's nuclear program and other Middle East issues amid talk that Israel may attack nuclear sites in Iran.

Netanyahu said he welcomed Obama's "strong speech" on Sunday and noted that Iran considers the United States and Israel to be similar foes.

"For them you're the great Satan, we're the little Satan," Netanyahu said. "For them, we are you and you are us. And you know something, Mr. President? At least on this last point, I think they're right. We are you and you are us. We're together. ... Israel and America stand together."

At the same time, Netanyahu insisted that Israel must remain "the master of its fate" in defending itself against Iran having a nuclear weapon or any other threat.

Sure except when Israel is targeting Americans via the Bombing of the King David Hotel or the Lavon Affair or the deliberate attack on the USS Liberty or selling of nuclear secrets to Russia via Jonathan Pollard or the mass Israeli spying operation on the United States as reported by Fox news.

I did not take anything that extreme in any context like the OP did. I believe it is just negotiating. and involving words such as satan is nothign more than a political move. Were in politics, not synagogues or churches. I do not see Israel Netayan to be trying to match a religious war, although op u are free to choose any opinion

Deleted my other post because I could not find the picture, but yeah I agree there is something weird going on and obviously there is a lot behind the scenes that we are not aware of. The push to attack Iran at any costs is becoming more and more clear by the day. Both heads of states are bananas, hopefully both the people of Israel and US come to their senses and demand no attack happen.

I don't know if it helps, but "The Great Satan" "and "The Little Satan" are how Iran regularly refers to the US and Israel, respectively. The passage makes more sense when read with that in mind. Nothing Masonic here.

The phrase "We are you and you are us" implies that they are united in a common goal, one of survival. Iran doesnt want to be blown up and neither do the USA/Israel, but both sides appear certain that the only safeguard is to deal that fate to the other.

I wish we could just send everyone of different faiths to their own planets, things would be much simpler here if we could just believe in the same things.

I had dinner at an Iranian restaurant, they didnt want me there, it was obvious, Getting a napkin from the place was a trial and no one in there would sit down next to the canadian wearing a cowboy hat - the entire time I was met with cruel gazes and shifting eyes, perhaps its merely the culture? We are very different.

I just seen a clip of a meeting between Obama and Netanyahu on SkyNews, not sure if this is the meeting the thread about, but when Netanyahu was talking about Israels right to be its own master, a master of its own destiny, and started saying all this b/s about how a fictional book gives them the right to the land, and that they want to live side by side with Palestinians (which we all know is b/s too)... The guy looked like a psychopath. Knowing what i know about Israel - Seeing him talk like that was just the icing on the cake. I feel sorry for Jewish people who have this idiot represent them on the global scale

If you read the entire exchange you would have noticed he was discussing the issue of how Iran views Israel and the US. Israel recently stated they would not notify the US first if they are going to strike. The reason for that was to shield the US from accusations that they greenlighted the Israeli attack.

The Israeli PM made his comment (you highlighed) to emphesize that it is irrelevant since Iran will blame both countries, regardless.

A lot of people would not miss their sleep if either one or both of those nations are gone.

And america really has no business getting involved in middle eastern affairs. They are getting involved iraq, afghanistan, pakistan, libya--all of which are soviet protectorates more or less.

Israel has no business being a jewish state. They should be a multi-cultural state like lebanon. Christians, jews and muslims all have THEIR ROOTS in israel/palestine, especially the city of jerusalem.
