Yes well, peace/war; love/hatred/ sex/procreation; incest; fratricide; politics; infanticide; heaven/hell;
pleasure/suffering; history, poetry, drama, adventure, prostitution, proverbs and prophecies.

Virtually all religions, even Christianity, have their roots in "star people" coming here and walking among man...in Greek mythos the Gods actually mated with man and the Bible alludes to that. Also, the angels could easily be envisioned as E.T.s. The Bible also has many quotations where god refers to himself in the plural form. We made man in our image and such as that.

There are MANY history books that give us a glimpse of our history as a species.

What I find disheartening is how people will hold their belief so close to their heart they begin to judge and hate on others who do not hold that belief.

How can one's belief be so hardened to the point of fighting over the love of the belief. Instead people could show love and compassion no matter what the other believes. Its too bad a belief for love does not over power a belief of judgement.

That's about it really, but also in at least, the language of the books of the bible for instance, is open to interpretation, as it was open to interpretation by the scholars that wrote those books. No matter what, there is no good reason to suppose that your own religion or belief is the elite, simply because you have been told so in dogmatic repetition. The reason for that lies in the dogma itself in that most, (but not all) religions hold a God as a supreme being, and in that being the case, there can only be one God. So everyone is correct or totally wrong, there is no in betweens.

Actually, its at least three different religions, and multiple offshoots of each of those religions which are all based off of the same book, and all claim the same god too no less.

The only thing is, in the case of the Bible, Christianity began years after the supposed death of Jesus (if he ever actually existed, we don't know yet) and for a few centuries, was passed through oral word of mouth stuff.

When writing in Europe started to become prevalent, many origin stories from previous cultures (such as Greeks, Romans, Egyptians etc) were used to create the Old Testament. Just reworded.

The New Testament was the same but focused on the characters of Greek myths with the name changed to Jesus and then to finish it off, the anti-Roman (some would call anarchist) propaganda of a rebellious man in exile using a coded call to arms against the empire but the ambiguity of the writings were enough to throw the leaders off the scent. This would come to be known as "Revelations".

What's sad is that for thousands of years, Christians have taken these old Greek myths and this anarchist material tagged onto the end and used it to justify wars, intolerance, hatred and judgment against others instead of seeing the true meaning behind it all and showing the love and harmony that their God would have preferred if such an entity were to exist.

Most of the gospels were written in REAL-time in either Greek or Aramic. The entire Greek translation, the Septaguint was completed around the 2nd century A.D. No word of mouth there, and not much room for error.

That's completely erroneous.! The Pentateuch was originally written in pictographic Sumerian during the Babylonian exile (6th century B.C). Subsequently the Hebrew Masoretic Pentateuch was created in the 8th century A.D. It is the original and still authoritative Hebrew Torah today. Quite opposite to your claim, Grecco-roman mythology have it's roots in the Semetic speaking world. Egypt had the most influence in the near-east but it had absolutely nothing to do with any canonical creations.

No, its not hard to explain either. What else would God use to communicate with humans? Do you go out and hand a 1040 EZ to your dog and expect him to understand you? Or do you solve a linear equation in front of your goldfish hoping it understands what you are trying to do?

Then why would you expect God to use any thing other than WORDS to speak to His creation?

Guess how humans communicate to each other.....GUESS? Women are real good at it...men not so much.....WE USE WORDS!!! If you have a whole bunch you want to communicate with, you gather these words together in one place which.....wait for it....make a BOOK!

So if humans communicate through our WORDS, wouldn't you think God who created us after His image or pattern original would communicate with us by something we understand? As in WORDS? collected in a BOOK?

Common sense here bud....most people never get this far.
