i feel ya, what's up with all these people who think they know it all and/or are always putting other people down on here? i mean i guess it's not surprising but still its kinda funny that when i see peeps on here talking about how they are 'awake' or have 'ascended' and then i catch them later in another thread posting some corny one-liners or something of that nature, almost never fails.

just remember, haters gonna hate, and trollz gonna troll... probably because they lack exactly what they try to display(intelligence, humor etc.)

Hey I've been on this site since '07 and I don't post much and speak much of anything, but I can definitely vouch for a deteriorating community. In the past I would always be intrigued by a thread or fascinated with someone's idea or beliefs. The thing was there was usually a lot of evidence and research put in to prove or disprove such a thing. Over the past year I can maybe count 2 or 3 threads that actually have interested me. No need to check ATS everyday like I used to because I know there's nothing being said that I can't find on other news sites. O and the trolls they just increase on the daily. ATS had a good run and there a still amazing threads in the archives, but I don't see the quality anymore.

Have you read the part about how he has been banned multiple times (considering the track record, I would guess it was for legit reasons) and is still complaining about how the site is run, yet continues to post on here?

It's just a tantrum. Why humor it?

If you have less than so many posts the community shuns you to the point of suppression and anything you say becomes invalid. This happened to facebook too.

The real world has become obsolete in society and now a days if you don't use facebook you get criticized by the people u thought were your friends. I would like to post things that have positive comments not smut by people saying your wrong.

If you don't like what I say don't read it. Easy as that.
I don't go to your threads accusing you of a liar or saying this is the truth just to make my ego "feel" better. The reason america is the way it is this very reason.
Nobody gets a say anymore unless they have brainwashed followers bidding their every whim.

I know this post will never make it to the headlines but this IS what I believe in. Not the overweight people living with mother still.
We need an internet revolution before we can start an American one we need to start somewhere but following the norm will not get us there.

To those who read this post I appreciate it any ears are a success to me. But open your eyes and see where im coming from. Then possibly the ATS community can become a peaceful one.

Hey my friend! I see on this thread you have been the victim of ridicule by certain members. I have reported them for this.

You say the things you want to say. It is free speech and you have just as much right to speak as they do. I am very annoyed with the nasty behavior and bullying by some members on this thread. Also, there are so many off topic posts here it is ridiculous!

Be a bit nicer to people here I say! We are all from different countries and cultures! Respect that, people!

One, we're humans. Humans are not known for being peaceful. We're just violent in more covert ways now. Consider football and wrestling...not to mention the disappearances covered up by the government, and the fact we currently have soldiers stationed in several countries, for varying reasons. And how about the innocent civilians being shot and killed over in the Middle East? Yeah, don't talk to me about peace.

So I've been reported? Sorry, I don't comfort people who have nothing but crap to say about this forum after being banned multiple times (for unspecified reasons) and continue to do nothing but rip this site down in post after post.

Respect? How about respecting the site that hasn't deleted this thread? If it was as bad as you say, I wouldn't even be allowed to post in this thread, because it would already be gone.

I'm all for rants when they are deserved, but sometimes it's just nonsensical tantrums.

I got banned for saying curse words in a post of mine. Happy? Oh no I guess not because u curse too. Im sorry your jealous my thread is getting more attention than you have probably had in your entire life. And yes proof or didn't happen! And I don't mean a link to a thread about how much smut you expire. The topic of this is people get along and people like you to get a life and not harass people (which is a crime). I never pointed this to anyone in particular so don't say im bringing down this site. Im calling for equal opportunity such as martin Luther king jr. did. So go disgust someone else because u obviously need to to feel better at your own self disgust. This thread has been a far greater outcome than I thought. had to dip back into this thread but on phone so will be brief! the point of ats is basically to present and debate information on a variety of topics. it is inevitable people will disagree. the key is to not react badly to tpgat disagreement and to be rude. and if you do those things to hold your hands up and apologise if you do, like a decent human being.

It's a discussion forum?? I too felt slighted when I first joined, posted my required amount , that allowed me to start a thread, just like everyone else. I also found you can get schooled pretty damn quick if you unsure of yourself.

I have also found and seen the fact ATS does have some over zealous mods.. I thought of leaving ATS when I had all my points taken away for an insult strewn banter with some one like myself. But after reading thru the whole thread,, I was an arsehole, pure & simple.

You said you had other accounts? What's you screename? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to read some of your threads & post's. This is ATS not AA ....ATS is not for quitters.

I was a member for a couple of years and just recently started to post in earnest. Yes there are immature people on this site but then again there are immature people everywhere you look. Hell, when you get to the movies there'll probably be 50 immature people there as well.

This is a site where we are able to exchange ideas and opinions. That's what makes it great. It would be quite boring if all we did was regurgitate what was being fed to us. You should feel honored that something you said moved somebody and made them sit up and respond. That means you had a DIRECT impact on someone. Whether it's good or bad is another story.

The one thing I will say is that it feeds into immature behavior when you "pick up your toys and go home". If you're resigning, leaving, not playing anymore, or whatever then do it. Don't announce it like you want someone to rush over to you and beg you to stay. I think THAT is what is putting alot of people off too.

Don't let what myself or anyone else run you off. Stand tall. Stand behind what you believe in. If someone is trolling your thread, just leave the thread. It doesn't make you a smaller person to leave a bad situation, clear your head, laugh it off and THEN go back and respond calmly. People hate when you treat their fiery retorts with calm, cold logic, even if it sometimes is illogical.

on a serious note , I have already ran into things that pretty much assure me there is more to meet the eye going on behind the scenes. I stay because information, leads to information, and weed through the BS and come out learning something new - even if its just one thing.

BUT, back to the topic. I think the responses to your post pretty much some it up. I didn't read all the pages/responses but how many "hall monitors" piped up and said "the moderators will love this..tc violations...etc"

I've noticed a large amount of posts that disregard other beliefs and thoughts.

Like this one yesterday where i was trying to stress to a christian the importance of equality, and how they should be the better man by stopping this "he hit me first" game between themselves and islam.
It was like talking to a brick wall.
When i brought up the crusadeds, he brought up a reason FOR the crusades. In the end he was trying to make christianity look like the original victim of the world - which no one knows. Not me, not you, not anyone.
I don't disregard people's belief, in fact i respect people that believe in "something", but i do disregard people using their belief to disregard other beliefs.

And then it had me thinking... "wait? isn't this ats? deny ignorance?"

I haven't even been a member for that long either, and this is the crap i see.

Being a new member here does not mean I have to humor tantrums on the forums.

And who says I'm a newb? I am an experienced contributor to this site (according to the reminder above the reply box) so I have just as much a right to textually chastise this member as anyone else.

I have no patience for coddling a multiple-times-banned member of this forum. Besides, anyone who is familiar with the internet knows that if you're crying over so-called "unfair" treatment on a site, it's time to unplug.

This is ridiculous, and the amount of time I have spent here has nothing to do with that fact.

And so OP's original comment was proven with the comments that followed....

I wish you would stop saying stuff like this here because with all due respect.. but you're just not. And continuing to say so simply won't make it so unfortunately, and believe me this is not the first time I've seen you say it so far.

You've been here 2 months. That's not "experienced" at all no matter what anyone, or anything, tells you, and in regards to contribution, well, I beg to differ - A majority of the time I see your posts criticizing and mocking people. That's not "contribution." It's childish behavior and not the type of thing that should go on here. We're adults, or at the very least we're all supposed to act like we're adults, regardless of our real ages. If you disagree with the OP, fine, no one's saying you have to agree. But there's no need to continually act like a complete jerk to him. If he's broke the rules, alert him to those who handle that stuff already. And hey, a little respect for other members would be nice to see in your replies as well.. but of course with that I'm "just sayin."
