Police Gathering...

Hi, I live in Illinois about 45ish miles west of chicago. Today me and a friend were heading towards my house on Route 47 from his house we see like 5 cars pulled over by Kane County, and Illinois State Troopers. then we go on a little ways and we notice that an entire neighborhood is closed off, and there are Bomb Sqaud, Emergency Management, and ambulence looking trucks around. So we go over an overpass that crosses over I-88 a real busy tollway that heads right to chicago and there are cop cars, marked and un-marked pulled off and walking around it.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with terroism but I wasn't sure where else to post it. Anyways does anyone know what this could have been?

With all that comotion it has to be on the local chicago news, have you tried your local news website?

Wow, what's going on? This afternoon, the campus on Georgia Tech had a bunch of campus police searching the grounds outside of a building. It was kinda strange and from what they were saying, it was no routine thing.

Alot of things are generated by prank phone calls...so if it wasnt a training drill of some sort...it probably came from some a-hole who called in a vague bomb type threat...if so...most police depts. will take it seriously and overdo the thing...just for liability purposes...its always better to overdo then no do enough...but if it wasnt all over the news...i wouldnt worry about it much...because all news stations have police scanners and know 99% of whats going on...so it was probably bs...
