Hello from CT!!

Good afternoon everyone. Just sitting here surfing the net peeking around various sites on interesting topics and came upon what were some of the most thoughtful, mature answers to a lot of various questions on this site. I typed in quite a few controversial topics and continued to find engaging conversation on this site only. In other words, every other site I came across was either filled with Ignorance by those who are too ignorant to even realize it, or one sided bias. So that's why I decided to join up. I look forward to reading and responding to and hopefully contributing to some illuminating and stimulating conversation.

SeeKermm, welcome to ATS it is a good site for the out of box thinkers. I found it as well a few years back after seeing the ufo hunters show covering dulce and the Deep Underground Military Bases or D.U.M.B.S. I got on the interwebs and ATS had the dumbs from that point on I was basically willing to learn more of the unknown or things that may cause fear in many. Enjoy your stay and see you in the boards.

Hello from CT as well. I'm from Litchfield county and have been surfing here for about a year now. You will not be disappointed. This may be your downfall as I have become an addicted lurker. Lots of stuff going on in todays world to keep this place fresh daily.

Glad you took the time to stop by and sign up. As you pointed out, our community is quite a bit different than the norm. And we also have more rules governed than any other forum, and for good reason too. We didn't get to be known as the most civil discussion forum without rules.

Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret, also known as ATS, the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.


* Please check out those links posted above before getting on one of the rides. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

* Please be sure to act like an 'civil' adult and are at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward).

* Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your all on. You should be mentally fit, stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.

* Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might expect. Be aware you also might end up learning something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride.

* Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

* Please have fun! But be aware that if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentially spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is not only for your safety, but also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

I am new here myself and agree with what you are saying. There are not too many sites that contain the information that is found here. I found myself learning every day and the healthy debates make me question what I was thought of as truth.

Two days ago I got back from Ct. While I was there, I read "Connecticut Yankee" (insert Twighlight Zone music).
Good book. Lots of commentary on the idiocy of the born elite, indoctrination by the church, and the mindset of the downtrodden. Still pretty accurate, as far as I'm concerned.

So, yeah. Welcome to the monkey house as it were.
