I guess nothing is off the table... U.S may arm Syrian rebels..

Are they going to stoop this low? Are they going to meddle in the conflicts of others while people at home are suffering. Are they going to affiliate themselves and give arms to a group that has the support of Al-Qaeda and other radical hardline Islamic fundamentalist? Not to mention the soldiers of fortune coming across from Libya. It is such a bad situation because we are going to bully these people, and they are going to realize, just like most in Libya realized that the grass aint always greener on the other side.

Ok so heres the deal... The U.S is basicly in the positon where its literally saying all options on the table. How far can this go? No flyzone? Supplies to the freedom fighters? The United States is capable of pretty much anything it wants, so when it says everything on the table, it kinda gets me thinking....

"I'm not ruling out potential future actions, but there is an opportunity that still exists, we believe, for a peaceful transition to occur in Syria," Carney. "And we don't want to contribute to the further militarization there."

John McCain seems so concerned about this humanitarian crisis. This guy is a cornball totally disconnected from the will of the people. The senator comes off to me as an hardline warmongerol. Heres what he tolf Wolf Blitzer.

"There's lots of ways of getting weapons and assistance to the resistance there besides the United States direct shipment of arms," Arizona Senator John McCain said in an interview that aired Monday on Situation Room. "I believe they need medical, technical and all kinds of assistance and every option should be on the table, including the way to get weapons to them."

The option of getting them medical supplies obviously cant be frowned upon and its hard to object to. How plausible is it though. What are the logistics of delivering the goods? Thats where I smell the money leaking out of our pockets to begin paying for another civil war. This guy openly admits he's considering sending weapons to a group with ties to Al-Qaeda...

"There's indications that al Qaeda is involved and that they're interested in supporting the opposition," Gen. Martin Dempsey said Sunday. "There's a number of players, all of whom are trying to reinforce their particular side of this issue. And until we're a lot clearer about, you know, who they are and what they are, I think it would be premature to talk about arming them."

Thats one of the generals, but this is what the director of national intelligence has to say on the ties between the groups..

The opposition, Clapper suggested, is feuding internally about who will lead it and has been infiltrated by al Qaeda. He said the Free Syrian Army is made up of disparate groups with no centralized "command and control." "The opposition groups in many cases may not be aware they (al Qaeda operatives) are there," Clapper told the committee.

The people who run the USA have the option on the table to give these people guns... This is Al Qaeda people... 9/11... and all that. I cant believe this. If they go through with this then that is treasonous...

Ah but you see al-Qaeda is a big reason for the west to get involved. Syria will fall to its people. Its only a matter of time as more and more of the Army changes sides. If the west has no role they will be left out and al-Qaeda will be the hero of the day. If you will recall western involvement in the Balkans was greatly spurred because Iran was sending men and weapons to Bosnia. Again letting an enemy win the day and be the hero is not something you want to happen.

Yep. This is going to be Libya 2.0, with Assad dying in the same way, shot in the head and sodomized by a ak-47.

Sorry, With all due respect I just cant buy into all that. There was major Al-Qaeda in Libya too and they wernt the heros of the revolution. In fact if I remember correctly the NTC was terrified of these guys, they are only there because they see this as a struggle of their faith. But giving weapons to people that have concrete ties with the #1 most hated and feared terrorist group in the world? Thats aiding and abetting the enemy and McCain should hang for that. Theres no reason at all that justifies this. All these bigshots do is spend all our money on garbage and make people like me work at convenience stores and tax us 30% and then charge us more fees when we cant get our bills paid. If they spent half the efforts they spent wrecking the world on the development of America itself then we could very well be a utopia.

nothing is off the table is a term that the people who think goal justified the mean , use it.
