In his latest ad, Texas Congressman Ron Paul goes after Rick Santorum, insisting that the former Pennsylvania senator is anything but the fiscal conservative he says he is. In a new campaign spot titled “Fake,” the Ron Paul campaign hits Santorum hard, exposing a laundry list of items that the former senator would more than likely like to keep under wraps as the race for the Republican Party nod intensifies.

With recent state-wide races showing substantial support still across the US for Santorum, Paul and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, the candidates only have so little time before the GOP nod is given away. Given Paul’s latest punch, the contenders aren’t concerned with being rough on the road to the party’s nomination, either.

The latest promo clocks in at barely half-a-minute, but in it the Paul campaign manages to hit Santorum from seemingly every angle. It’s a brief spot, but in it Santorum is called out for his schizophrenic voting record, his foreign relations and his questionable history of aiding in the compensation for programs he has only gone on to attack himself.

freaking hilarious.

oh Santorum.

you silly boy.

Spot on, as usual nothing but the thruth in those Ron Paul ads. Will be interesting to see Santorum defend this on the next debate, looking stupid like he usually does

Why go after Santorum?? It's not like that guy has even the slightest chance of winning, seems illogical. Wouldn't taking Romney down a few pegs be a better tactic? What benefit is it attacking the least popular of the remaining candidates?

As an outsider, being from the UK.
I honestly find it hard to believe anyone could vote for any of the other three candidates.

Ron Paul stands for everything the people want.

The other three are just a continuation of the present and recent past presidents, who have brought nothing good or decent to America and have caused nothing but unrest and death to many other countries.

to get the people who are still asleep to vote for Ron Paul?

I think it would take an EMP of national proportion to wake people up. 9 out of 10 American households would become cannibals if they lost power, including battery power, for 3 days. Most people can't even stand being alone in silence with their own thoughts for more than 4 minutes.

I'd expect nothing less than Romney becoming the next Prez if this current regime remains in charge, the harsh changes to the country can be blamed and passed off onto the previous presidents, so no 8 years for Obama, too much damage has been done during his reign, time for a fresh face to enforce new-old policies and procedures.

I'm still at a loss as to why the Ron Paul campaign hasn't put up an anti-Romney ad. I've always thought the tactic was to target the front runner.

I'm a Ron Paul supporter, but man, it does seem like they're in cahoots.

And that face should Ron Paul.

As far as i've followed the other candidates, and i've got to admit my only news about them was from ATS, that they were just the same old, same old.

Your EMP comment made me friggin rofl though

Remember grassroots

Tactics it is, working his way up, slowly eliminating from the bottom down up.

Gathering momentum to eventually squash the big bird.

I know why he's not attacking Romney. Romney is the chosen one. If Paul launched a direct attack on Romney, he would have the whole GOP and every MSM outlet blackballing him. It would be suicidal.

Right now, he's nipping at Romney's heels. What he needs is to bring his numbers up enough to put him on top. He intends to do it by drawing off support from Santorum. If he can do that, he gains ground, Santorum loses ground and Romney stays even. Killing two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Great one...totally deserves it, glad to see the Paul camp strike back. Heres the problem..We are dealing with a population that does not know what the dept. of education is.. ...I must admit I didnt know until Ron explained it. So to some that may sound like he is cutting their kids education out somehow when its not...just like cutting a trillion out of foreign defense budget translates to old people as ,"im gonna fire our soldiers" when thats not what it means at all..and I wouldnt have learned a thing and have never learned a thing about politics until Ron Paul came along as a teacher and not a preacher.....Ron really needs to dumb it down some for the older folks without internet... I hear the dumbest comments everyday and i know that you other Paul supporters do too,,im done trying to educate people about monsanto ,gmo the fda,,the troops interest,,our liberty,,the constitution,,, wasted money and the reality of the american dollar....im gonna stop before i get too off subject and get kicked off.
