From MSNBC this morning
4.0 earthquake in Missouri shakes 9 states
www.msnbc.msn.com...

"We're no strangers to quakes, but this one was different," Brack said. "We had one four years ago and that one rolled. This one was straight underneath us and lasted for 30 seconds or so. It reminded you of lightning."

I'd like to refer you to these two recent ATS threads . . .

FEMA freinds will be gone "for some time"

Yes, you certainly can depending on the depth of the quake and how close you are to the epicenter. I live in Oklahoma and last fall we had the record 5.6. We definetly felt that! My shelves almost tipped over. Left some small cracks in the walls, too. We also felt all of the 3.0 after shocks - not bad, but enough to rattle the windows and door knobs. We're about 30 miles from the epicenter.

Here is the link for a youtube video that makes a prediction about the New Madrid fault and discusses reasons why it may rupture. www.youtube.com...
it is worth a look!
