Santorum 2003 : No constitutional right to privacy

All the rights in the Constitution, which are individually based rights, according to our founders were not there for the individual’s gain, but the reason we established those rights was for the common good. The right to privacy is not the right to a common good. It’s a me-centered right, that obviously started in the sexual revolution with contraception and obviously quickly evolved to abortion, and now has found its way into the marriage debate. And all those acts that were self-giving acts, self-sacrificing acts, have been polluted by this right to privacy.

I cant tell if he sounds more Orwellian or Communist! The constitutional rights we have is more geared towards the common good? More double-speak from Santorum!

Santorum is currently enjoying the spotlight, but it will not last long. His rampage against social issues are going to bite him in the backside, and he is way to extreme even for most Republicans.

If Ron Paul cannot pull in the delegates at the convention, it is a guarantee that Obama will serve another term.

the GOP party is PATHETIC for letting this guy in the spotlight and suppressing Paul.

Don't any of the candidates EVER read any history books? The "right to privacy" laws arose in 1890 (not 1980 or 1960). He's right that "privacy" is not actually addressed in the constitution, but niether are national budgets, space programs, railroads, anti-trust laws, copyrights, and a lot of other things.

He's also unaware of the long history of abortion practices and infanticide practices. And a lot of other things.

If he ends up as the Republican candidate (not likely, but anything can happen), they'll lose by a very large margin.

Santorum: Satan is systematically destroying America

This is not a political war at all. This is not a cultural war. This is a spiritual war. And the Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country - the United States of America. If you were Satan, who would you attack in this day and age. There is no one else to go after other than the United States and that has been the case now for almost two hundred years, once America's preeminence was sown by our great Founding Fathers.

He didn't have much success in the early days. Our foundation was very strong, in fact, is very strong. But over time, that great, acidic quality of time corrodes even the strongest foundations. And Satan has done so by attacking the great institutions of America, using those great vices of pride, vanity, and sensuality as the root to attack all of the strong plants that has so deeply rooted in the American tradition.

He was successful. He attacks all of us and he attacks all of our institutions. The place where he was, in my mind, the most successful and first successful was in academia. He understood pride of smart people. He attacked them at their weakest, that they were, in fact, smarter than everybody else and could come up with something new and different. Pursue new truths, deny the existence of truth, play with it because they're smart. And so academia, a long time ago, fell.

When a politician say things like for the 'common good' then you have to except a whack agenda. I'm not exactly a proud American with this guy being a front runner for the GOP nomination.
