This has prompted Roemer to seek other avenues. While he has expressed interest in seeking the nomination of Americans Elect in the past, there is currently a movement within the Reform Party, founded by Ross Perot in 1996 as a means of advancing fair trade and campaign finance reform, to draft Roemer as their nominee. Roemer seems like a perfect fit in the party that ran candidates like Ross Perot, Pat Buchanan, and Jesse Ventura.

Would anyone else support Governor Roemer if he decided to run with the Reform Party? I think he could mount a strong challenge and gain maybe 6% if he ran. He would probably be labeled a spoiler, but I would be so happy to be able to vote for him!

Ron Paul has about as much of a chance of winning the GOP nomination as Barack Obama would running for head of the Klan.

Some polls show that he has a better chance of beating Obama than any of the other canidates.

Buddy Roemer was my preferred candidate since the beginning of the GOP Presidential race. I like the guy and assume, if given a platform from which to make his ideas well known, most Americans would like him too. Would I vote for him come November? Probably not, as I do not expect to vote but if I do, it would most likely be for Roemer.
