Police "raid" charity event in Christchurch, New Zealand

Came across this video today of some sort of charity event for the Christchurch earthquake involving a convoy or cars driving around the city, anyway the police arrive and block off the street they are parked on and some riot police even come I think it was a ridiculous move by the police, Thoughts?
The guy filming it comes across as a bit of a smart arse, none the less are the police here in the right or wrong??

Sorry people. I Find it strange the video has only been up for 7 hours and is now off the internet. Can't find any other sources for this.

Probably removed so as not to pervert the course of justice in a serious criminal investigation. I don't have the facts and neither do you and whilst most attending were probably innocent and genuine people it may just be that somebody involved was part of a scam or a fraud. We don't know either way and I am sure it will be explained in the news tomorrow. Sit tight. Not everything is a cover up.
