As a former Atlantan of 20+ yrs, the history of the "Turner Owl" is this.

When Jane Fonda married Ted Turner, she was traveling daily past the TBS building on I-75/85 S. She was aware that Ted was seeing other women inhabiting their bodies with his wee-wee.

Ms. Fonda was a fan of the Big Chicken, an Atlanta landmark for several decades.



In order to reassure Ms. Fonda, playing off a familiar "fowl" theme, Turner had the Owl installed on the top of his broudcast center to remind her that he would "OWLways love" you/her.
