A magnitude 5.8 earthquake IN NORTHERN SUMATRA, INDONESIA has occurred at:
5.34N 95.89E Depth 134km Fri Sep 5 01:23:03 2003 UTC

there was reportedly one in the san fransisco area has anyone got any info on this. and there was one in Ache (pronounced arche) in indonesia. and one in samoa, and a 6.1 earth quake in NZ as well.

Is that an oil producing area?

I posted a while back a link that explained how seicmic activity increases oil reserves by making new flow paths.

Is this what they are doing?

Or is some other country trying to screw up the oil production of the US?

Has anyone checked out Antartica today, perhaps it's a good time to look. I've only ever seen it do this once! But on a much smaller scale.

The seismic madness from yesterday appears to have spilled over into today.

So far we have:

US-wise we have already had five 3.0+ quakes in Alaska with one of those being a 4.4. And a 3.2 in Hawaii.

possibly Jim Creek
Glacier Peak
maybe Camp Sherman
definitely St. Helens (check out what JUST was recorded!)
and Rattlesnake is just plain weird looking to me on the am trace.
