I heard this was written on the side of the cat.If you wanted to enter the Sphinx you would have to answer this riddle.
What has four legs in the morning,two legs at noon and three in the evening?Think about it and enter the knowledge of the Sphinx.

A human. On 4s as a child, 2 legs then when we grow, and then 2 legs and a cane (3 legs), when we get older?

I believe Murkraz is correct...That's the way I always had read it to be.

How does this relate to the Sphinx? I had never heard of this riddle before this thread.
