Sean Penn v Great Britain

Actor Sean Penn is taking Argentina's side in the Falkland Islands dispute. Penn met with Argentine President Cristina Kirchner on Monday and then urged Britain to join U.N.-sponsored talks over what he called "the Malvinas Islands of Argentina." Penn says "the world today is not going to tolerate any ludicrous and archaic commitment to colonialist ideology." Penn says diplomacy is the only solution.

This is my recent message to Mr Sean Penn which I posted on his Facebook page: "Well Mr Penn, if you think we Brits should hand over the Falkland Islands to the Argentinians, perhaps you and your fellow Californians should hand back Alto California to the Mexican government. May I respectfully suggest Sir, that you stick to speaking from a prepared script because it is quite obvious that you know very little about world politics or the history of the Falkland Islands."

It's still hard for me to envision Penn's character "Spicolli" saying that quote...

"Whoa..Mr. Hand..."

How could one really take him seriously with that mental image.

(for you kids who have no idea what I'm talking about, do yourself a favor and rent one of the teen classics, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High")....

I dont care what this actor has to say, go away Sean Penn.

May I respectfully suggest Sir, that you edit your post? Another failed Hollywood actor almost destroyed the Warsaw Pact single handedly but chose to do so with the help of British Steel, in the shape of Margaret Thatcher.

I do wonder if Mr Penn is due to start filming in Argentina or whether he intends to relocate there any time soon? Perhaps that is the reason for his departure from the script?

I find the Title laughable and amusing to say the least.

Sean Penn ha, is just trying to up his profile.

Who really cares what he thinks.

I do not.

Nor do the majority of the Falkland Islanders or the British People.

The Falklands will remain British as long as those islanders wants to remain British, and there is nothing Sean Penn or the Argies can do about it.
