Just so you guys know, this program is one of the most sensationalist on TV. They have in the past lied to their viewers and filmed in an entirely different city than they were supposedly in. In other words, take this with a big pinch of salt.

No saying Scientology are not evil by the way, they definately are. But i just cant take this program seriously.

I actually agree, Today/Tonight and A Current Affair are not programs I usually watch....most of it is nonsense. But in this case I actually believe them, particularly seeing as Nick Xenophon and Bill Shorten are involved.

What the hell are they on about saying there are no laws against making children work that many hours in NSW. The very FIRST POINT of the "Fair Work Information Statement" clearly contradicts that claim.

The National Employment Standards

The Fair Work Act 2009 provides you with a safety net of minimum terms and conditions of employment through the National Employment Standards (NES).

There are 10 minimum workplace entitlements in the NES:

1. A maximum standard working week of 38 hours for full-time employees, plus ‘reasonable’ additional hours.
2. A right to request flexible working arrangements to care for a child under school age, or a child (under 18) with a disability.
3. Parental and adoption leave of 12 months (unpaid), with a right to request an additional 12 months.
4. Four weeks paid annual leave each year (pro rata).
5. Ten days paid personal/carer’s leave each year (pro rata), two days paid compassionate leave for each permissible occasion, and two days unpaid carer’s leave for each permissible occasion.
6. Community service leave for jury service or activities dealing with certain emergencies or natural disasters. This leave is unpaid except for jury service.
7. Long service leave.
8. Public holidays and the entitlement to be paid for ordinary hours on those days.
9. Notice of termination and redundancy pay.
10. The right for new employees to receive the Fair Work Information Statement.

Scientology is just sick. An illness peddled by psychopaths pushing false promise.

If this doesn't give you chills, I give in!

In 2009, Saxton lived in Perth, Australia,[25][5] and worked as an information technology contractor.[26] He contacted Senator Nick Xenophon of Australia, who read statements by Saxton about Scientology into the parliamentary record of the Australian Senate.[27][28] In a November 2009 speech, Xenophon said, "Aaron has now left the organisation and is willing to cooperate with police investigations into these matters."[29] Senator Xenophon characterised Saxton as a "victim" of Scientology that had written to him about the organisation.[30] Saxton's statement was tabled in Australian parliament.[31]

Looks like Xenophon has been on this since 2009.
Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

The same goes for the Sea Org in Clear Water Florida. Clear water is mostly owned by Scientology. The town is 80% Scientology living. ( Sea Org AKA ( FLAG)...The only way to be excepted into Sea Org is if your an OT..ladder.
I know 2 people on the Ship right now. And they have been on ship since 8 years old..They get payed nothing. Everything is supplied for them food, medical some what / education..theirs only. And to talk down about Scientology..is like an omen.. I haven't talked to them in 2 years..letters stop coming..the only way i could talk to them was to take a scientology course, I did.and everything was fine. But now nothing..and the problem with it is..both the parents are fine with it. They haven't seen them longer. But both are OT 7 & 8 and in there brain washed minds everything is fine..to them it's all part of learning. Crazy peeps i swear..Did you know that Scientology has an underground base like area 51....only OT's will be going to enter & their families. eeh!!

Isac Hayes was also a member before he died. He quit doing the voice for "Chef" after they did an episode on C.O.S. He was ok with making fun of Christianity, Mormonism, Islam and everyother religeon in the world, and not to mention, all of the racial and anti-semetic comments. But once they did a show on C.O.S... He quit.
They definatly got the last laugh though when they killed his character.

From memory the reason his son was suffering a mental condition is because they refused to let proper doctors treat him, instead they stuck firmly to Scientology and it's methods.

This is why I don't watch anything of Travolta's anymore. Ever. Most likely Jet had autism. COS doesn't recognize "psychological" illnesses, so no treatment. Jet apparently died after having a seizure.

Interesting thing which makes me believe Jet did have autism. John Travolta's brother Joey runs a film camp for kids with autism during the summer at several college campuses. I'm thinking of trying to get my son up to Oakland University in Michigan to attend. www.healautismnow.org...

Was going to diss based on being today tonight, but yeah Xenophon adds credibility - one of the few genuine politicians.

Scientologist are sick, but I'm sure if other religious organizations were less in the public eye, they would behave in the same way.

On slightly ot - always admired l. Ron Hubbard - he took the p**s out of religion and government. It's just a shame that so many fools believed his big joke and take it so seriously.

How they could continue to be operational is beyond belief, even if only a small percentage of claims about them were correct they would still be incredibly criminally liable.

Just add religion label and everything is ok and acceptable.
