TEHRAN — Iran’s Oil Ministry denied state media reports on the Islamic state stopping its crude exports to six European countries on Wednesday.

“We deny this report … If such a decision is made, it will be announced by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council,” a spokesman for the ministry told Reuters.

Iran’s English language Press TV had earlier said Tehran has stopped exporting oil to France, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Netherlands and Spain.

I'm confused...why is the UK not cut off? Do they receive any oil from Iran? Does the US receive any oil from Iran? If so why are they not cut off?

Anyone have any answers for me?

Well I don't know about the UK but I do know the US get's it's foreign oil from Saudi Arabia and supplements with our own oil supply.

Sure. Perhaps the allies should have done the same in WWII...take care of their own problems. I just hate to think but let another World War breakout and then we will see how many countries willing to take care of their own problems

and by cutting oil to those 6 country
does that mean the strait of hormus can remain open ?
they have found another way of punishing for the sanction ?
