E-waste. A Massive Problem In Africa!

This was posted last year.
still nothing will be done about it.

in england the council make a big thing about recycling.
they have a big dump. every one brings their stuff for recycling.
but ware dos it go? we know now... sick.

I tried to get some computer stuff from the tip.
they would not let me have any.

if they give it away the shops cannot sell you any.
they dont care you dont have the money.

I just wish ever one on ATS could make changes in the world.

A resource rich, fertile region of the World.

This is how it is. The waste isn't just the waste. That their leaders make deals to accept waste is one thing. That they then dump it in fertile regions and in fresh water is the sort of insane corruption that can only be explained by a complete lack of any human emotion.

There could be things done with this waste. Instead, not only do they take the money to take the waste but they don't do the things that could be done to make more money off of it while managing to destroy and misuse the fertility of the land and wreck their resource of fresh water.

The depths of stupid can barely be imagined.

The saddest part of this reality is that you can actually see this waste.

Africa has been victim of toxic waste from the oil industry since the industrial revolution began.

Most of those toxins killed rivers and villages without any physical signs of the containments in the water and soil.

This ewaste is still oil products, via plastic, along with some more mercury and other fun stuff.
