Anonymous Hack Syrian President's Emails

Hundreds of emails from Syrian President Bashar Assad's office were leaked on Monday after an attack by the hacker group Anonymous. One of the email files, which Haaretz has obtained, was a document preparing Assad for his December 2011 interview with ABC's Barbara Walters.

Few days old, searched and couldn't find anything here so thought I would share. At least it is not another DDOS.

Shows how Syria is providing propaganda to us, but we all knew this right?

Haven't read through everything yet but I felt is was worth a post, I have it bookmarked for later.

When are people going to realize that there is no "hacker group" called Anonymous? Seriously.

Aside from that peeve of mind, I'm not really surprised by what was said.
I'm honestly not surprised this doesn't happen more often.

where's the rest?
why only release a small portion, most of which is probably bland?

In other releases theyve thrown BULK DATA unsorted unedited..

this smells like pretenders.

You are right in a way.
To have a group would require a leader.
Anon is a bunch of random people working towards their own objectives hiding behind a name.

Anonymous published a video condemning the West for its imperial crusade and war mongering against Syria and then they intercept Assad's E-Mails and give those to a Israeli newspaper. Yeah right!

Sounds more like "Mossanonymous"!

Im actually surprised about their view on America and what they think they can get away with. The Syrian regime is a whole lot stupider than I initially thought.

I'm not sure as after I have finished reading I have been trying to find where they would release such documents.

Maybe a torrent? Maybe this is something a government has made up itself to make him look worse?

They are actually hiding behind a lack of a name. No one labels themselves "Anonymous". It's just the mainstream media labeling a "subculture" based on incorrect assumptions.

I have often wondered the same thing. I always see articles involving massive harvesting of stolen information that say the information was dumped somewhere, yet I have never come across any of it. I haven't personally spent too much time trying to locate it, but I think it all goes back to the "deep web" idea.

Actually it is not very difficult to see it, but as this thread proves there are still blind people out there.

What's next? Ahmadinejad's emails get leaked and one says, "We will attack Israel [insert date here]." ?

I cant find an original source for these documents. Normally you would find the whole lot posted up on pastbin or something or if a big file downloadable. I am not saying its not authentic just that I would like to see the originally.
