I don't want to pry, or come across as nosy, but does your girl friend use birth control? I mean, is she a "good girl?" Catholics would be against that too, if she's wasn't a "good girl."

Devout Hispanic Catholics, do not believe in contraceptives at all. Obama is alienating twofold on his voting base with this demographic.

I think that "devout" Catholics in the US are a dying breed and few and far between. It would be interesting to take a poll to see how many Catholic Latino women, of child bearing age, use contraception.
They may start out against it, but after child birth and rearing a toddler, one may reconsider.

The conflict is with the Church leadership. That may or may not transfer to the laity the majority of whom use contraception. If Catholics were listening to the leaders of their church there would be no need to enlist the government in enforcing church doctrine.

The debate is NOT over contraception as much as IT IS about Obamacare and the dictates of an overlarge federal government.
Some how, overlarge Big Brother doesn't always get along well with religion.
Been that way throughout history, many times over.

Too many times "Big Brother" had been the church, whether it be Catholic or Islam or Hindu.
