Im a semi pro photographer and those pics are very impressive. They dont look like they have had much post processing either which is even more impressive. Well done man keep it up.

Try experimenting with some HRD stuff and you will be amazed at how much your pics will stand out.

Again nice work.

Damn who would have guessed that the Python dragging the Kangaroo out of the water picture was taken by an ATS member. There are even a few threads on ATS about the pic. That picture is all over the internet lol

Thanks man. My life life situation has changed a lot over recent years which gives me little time to actually go out and get such pictures these days. Obviously when I finally win lotto those things will change.....

Also what does HRD stand for? The small amount of processing the phots' have had done to them were simply adjustments to the contrast and cropping using Microsoft Office Picture Manager (which is about all technical skills level is up to).

EDIT: Just saw your link to 'how to take HDR'. Thanks a lot,now all I need is a camera where I can actually adjust those things

Really!!! If you could direct me to those threads or anywhere else on the internet I would be eternally grateful.

I gotta confess that picture is well over 7 years old now and was taken when I was a fresh faced uni grad doing exploration work in the Pilbara. When I first took it I emailed it to a number of my mates and I've actually lost the original due to storing them all on a dodgy hard drive . The picture I've posted in this thread was a low res one taken from my facebook page.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT: Hey I just found it on Snopes.com of all places, as well as a few other sites about how crazy Australians are lol. The cool thing is that the snopes pic is slightly higher res than the copy that I currently have. Note that even though I actually live in Queensland, I never posted it to ABC North Queensland and the commments are not my own. Interesting how things eventually come full circle. I also used to have a brilliant pic of some Aborigininal carvings that look exactly like aliens which I lost on the same hard drive. Shame I didn't send any of them out.....

I've actually got a few pics of animals eating other animals if people are interested, but I left them out of the original thread as I didn't think they were very good.

This is a king brown snake eating a frog in the corner of our mine's 'wet mess'

Here's one I snapped just the other month. The large monitor lizard must have been about 6ft long. Unfortunately the picture's a little out of focus.....

Yeah man people were unsure if it was a hoax or not, thinking it was a cow lol. You can just search "python drags" in ats and a couple come up from a few years ago.

You really get some great shots. That second one above is wild!
