Condit took a page out of Anderson Silva's playbook.

Carlos Condit vs. Nick Diaz rematch set

Just several days after defeating Nick Diaz in a UFC welterweight interim title bout, Carlos Condit has agreed to a rematch, promotion president Dana White said late Tuesday night. "The rumor is true," White said via Twitter. "Carlos did accept the fight today.

UFC has not yet set a date or location for the Condit-Diaz rematch."

Well considering Nicks's been nabbed for THC again and the fact he said he'll retire, will the fight actually happen?

Carlos Condit on rematch -

"Yeah I had talked to Dana and talked to Dana I believe Tuesday morning and he said it would be a huge fight and I agreed. So we were just going to hash out the details. Then there was word coming from Nick’s camp that the fight might not happen so we were sitting around very curious why the rematch might not be happening.”

So it's up to Nick I guess? man I hope it happens.

edit:

It remains uncertain the extent Diaz will be disciplined. But if Diaz is available to fight and if Georges St-Pierre takes longer to recover than anticipated, Condit's up for another five rounds with the former Strikeforce champ.

"I’m in this game to fight big fights and to fight the best in the world," Condit said. "Nick’s one of the best in the world. It’s something the fans would like to see. I’m willing to give Nick a rematch."

What they don't say is that Condit's manager agreed on rematch AFTER they had found out about Diaz's marijuana thing. Fighter and manager same type of characters...
Ridiculous both of them.

Now to say that diaz won is a shame. Dont get me wrong he came to fight, but agression can only get you so far when your face is getting smashed as you come forward. Condit took every round to me other than the fifth and thats a huge maybe. The only problem here is the hype that the UFC puts on its fighters. Which is rather unfair to us fans. Of course everyone wanted to see the GSP vs diaz fight. Sorry buts its not going to happen, at least anytime soon. Condit is a hell of a fighter and if he doesnt want to fight the fight other people want him to then he doesnt have too. Lets say if he didnt duck and dodge and squrim his way out of diaz, then yeah he would have got his ass kicked. Thats how diaz wins most of his fights. He cuts the other guy off and back them up against the cage and throws flurrys. So let me ask would you let him do the same to you??? Carlos kept the pressure off of him and tore him up with counter striking the whole fight. So agression or effective striking......I really hope striking would win.

There is no way in hell Diaz didn't win the second round. Some people give him the first or the fifth. I gave him 1,2 and 5. But I'm a Jiu Jitsu guy so I am admittedly biased to the ground game. After talking to lots of people about it I am definitely in the minority of people that thought he won though.
