Some good rock?

I recently created a thread called "recommend me some metal/rock music."

I was disappointed because most of the post wear screaming hardcore metal bands. No offense to those that like that genera of music but it makes my ears bleed. I guess I should give a list of bands that I all ready know and like such as, Black Sabbath, clutch, Jimi hendrix, led zeppelin, Metallica,black stone cherry, priestess and Pantera.

Volbeat is an awesome band out of Denmark. Check them out. Metallica meets Johnny Cash meets Elvis. Pretty cool stuff.

I actually saw black stone, and priestess with black label society a while back. Spectacular show. Check out red fang, mastodon, Alabama thunderpussy, the atomic bitchwax, honcho, lonely camel, baroness, samsara blues experiment, true widow, low, etc. Youtube will have related videos in the sidebars, use them to discover new stuff. I would suggest giving Tool a good listen. I just saw them in concert last week and I'm still feeling the effects of that awesome show. Very crisp very powerful sound. The opening cords of Prison Sex are completely BAD AZZ!
