In recent times we have been told that Google intends to change its policies regarding sharing information it collects on us.

Naturally this is an untennable and totally obnoxious concept to our valued privacy.

Fortunately there is a simple cure that will circumvent this intrusion, all you need to do is to copy and paste the following into your existing browsers "Start Page"
I use IE, so I can only vouch for its use there and it appears to be functioning perfectly.

Here it is...

www.startpage.com...

If anyone can find fault or further endorse this Im certain everyone will appreciate the information being supplied.

Can you explain what this other search engine does as opposed to google. And I noticed that it uses google to get you your search results.

Nevermind,i just read their privacy policy.

Thanks for the link! I was planning on finding a new search engine because Google has taken its final step too far. Sure sure they are only doing it to help us attain a more catered user end experience, its for our own good, it will make our e-lives better. blah blah blah...

It is a breach of privacy! Nothing more than further tightening the fulcrum of data mining; to package our interests into neat little portfolios so we can be cataloged, compartmentalized and sold to the highest bidder.

Villainy wears many masks, none of which so dangerous as the mask of virtue.

...getting tired of this garbage.

I'm just sayin, has anyone read the changes to google?

As far as i can see all they have done was merge what stuff your google plus friends have been searching for with your results, which you can turn off... and most of you don't have google plus...

They were already data mining you, they just weren't publicly telling you that they were.

Not that much of a difference tbh. They'll still do it, even if you change your preference, as will most other search engines and major online entities.
