Okay. So that would be 10, 9, 8, years. If on schedule, the next events should be around 2015.

Hmm, just like Pennywise, every few years or so it's feeding time.
Stephen was on to something.

This is a serious thread about the legend and sightings, not for jokes or movie references. PLEASE try to stay on topic. I did post an article from the Chicago tribune as well...

The Chicago tribune article cited a source from the nettlehorst school. If that's the nettlehorst school on broadway, well, that's boystown. If you know anything about halsted and broadway in lakeview east then you may agree, the area resident's fashion choices could easily be mistaken for that of a clown.

From what I've read there isn't any evidence other than eyewitness reports (read The Invisible Gorilla to see how unreliable people can be), despite the reported dragnets and such. Without pictures, zero physical evidence and no arrests ever made these "phantom clowns" have far less credibility than bigfoot.

Interesting read! I really hate clowns and even more now. That is a scary story - you should talk to your local newspaper and write them a good article
Remember to scan and upload the newspaper afterwards

By all means, if it is serious I will quit clowning around. I guess I just woke up as a clown this morning. I must have slept funny last night or something.

That's probably what it is. I just can't see an ET sending down a clown in a van to do their abducting when all they have to do is beam them up. Sorry, but the clown outfit didn't scare me. I'm saying that it's an underground child abduction ring.

Clowns put humans in giant cotton candy and drink our blood with straws

Seriously?......that's your source for the clowns being demonic?.......half a dozen posts relating to obvious urban legends

Personally speaking, anything with David Ickes name behind it is usually not to be taken seriously.

DUDE.

This made me think of a (true) story I was told by my friend..It doesn't have any anything to do with people dressed as clowns, per-say..

But my friend was baby-sitting her friend's kid, a few years ago.

The house she was baby-sitting at, was a kind of rural area with not many other houses around.

As my friend was watching TV, the little girl she was baby-sitting came over to her & said she was scared.

So my friend wondered why the little girl was suddenly spooked, & asked what was wrong.

The little girl said, "I'm scared of the clown upstairs".

My friend replied, "Don't worry, there's nothing upstairs to be scared of".

She went upstairs & looked around the little girl's room, but there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary, so she went back downstairs.

As she came back downstairs, a news report came on the TV (or radio) about an escaped prisoner being on the run from police in the surrounding area.

So naturally my friend went to make sure all the doors & windows were closed & locked..She had finished checking that everything was locked downstairs, when she realised that the window of the little girl's room was left open upstairs.

The little girl was still crying about being afraid of the clown upstairs, so my friend went up to the little girl's room & switched on the light.

She found the "clown" was actually the escaped prisoner hiding behind a large human-sized teddy bear..The whole time the prisoner was hiding in the little girl's room.

My friend was pretty lucky that the prisoner didn't do anything stupid on her, but tried fleeing again instead, to be eventually caught by police, after my friend alerted the authorities in the local area.

This is very creepy. I've always had a fear of clowns, and now I'm positive they're no good lol. Very well researched and written. If I could S+F I would!

His "newest link" is over 3 years old from a site called "shavedlongc**k".

There's an extensive report of a guy who grew up seeing one, and being afraid of it. Eventually he finds a way to communicate with it. He claims they're some kind of being that was once human but found a way out, basically tricksters though. When I'm not on oh phone I'll try to find it. It's somewhere on the interwebs.

Is that the guy who called them harlequins?

I read that too but I don't remember where.

It's possible for a kid to confuse a harlequin with a clown. Both are creepy.

Edit: I found the link The Mysterious Harlequin
