As my login name suggests, I'm from Norway. However, I live in the US, I'm married to a US citizen and I'm working on my doctor degree at an American university. Sadly, I just turned 30.....hehe....

Anyways, I always love a good discussion, and I came across this great site through a Norwegian site, and thought I'd join in. Always interesting for me as a European, to compare views and opinions with Americans, since I have personal experience from both "worlds".

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Where in Norway are you from? I've actually spent quite a bit of time there. I've been to Stavanger, Bodo, Evenes, Trondheim, Tromso, and was even on the island of Andoya when you guys tried to start WW III in 1995!!!

Great country, great people, great beer, but a bit chilly in Andoya in the winter!!!

I'm from Askim, a small town about an hour drive south east of Oslo.

Norway trying to start WW3? Never, we're such a peace loving people, it's the viking blood....hehe....

But I remember that incident. I was in the military in that area the year before actually. You are thinking about the incident with the rocket that ended up in Russia I take it?

Exactly. I was participating in an excercise there at the time. We didn't know how close to getting blown off the map we were!

There's actually more Norwegian blood in America than there is in Norway. About 2.5 times as much actually.

And by the way, I'm working on my doctor of chiropractic degree, I have 3.5 years left.
