Why The U.S. Needs a China Threat

A good piece that shows from a Chinese side why the US needs a China threat. From military to economics to political reasons...the US always it would seem needs an enemy. China is just the next Soviet Union if you ask me....

China is indeed next in line for America(after Iran of course)hence why America has been building China up.

why do we need a new threat? why cant we just work together?

america doesnt need any new threats outside of it threatening itself. i think its about time we fix ourselves at home and then work together with other nations to become greater than what we are. if were going to leave this planet, we need to work together. if were going to save our planet, we need to work together.

there is no more need for threats from other nations, let alone us being a threat to other nations. its 2012, not 1912. its about time we as a species grew up.

Well its not necessarily "America" that needs an enemy but rather the military industrial complex that runs our government. Perpetual War=Perpetual Money....first we had the Soviets,then it was "terrorists",and now I guess it looks like China is next in line. I would say Iran but I think that is just us posturing along with Israel, China is a far more developed country and much bigger threat.

I think the whole China thing is over blown myself. Look at every enemy America faces we either defeat or they self destruct

But that doesn't even make sense. They would not build up China to make them tougher in order to create a more believable threat. Did they build Iraq up to such a level? No.


If they wanted to to do anything to make China seem like more of a threat they would pull the same old propaganda routine. "Watch out! Nuclear weapons!"


It would be stupid to build them up and make them an actual threat.... We wont go to war with China. I don't think we will even have a cold war with them... It will be more... Economics than anything. No arms races... Just seeing who can create the better economy and become the economic power of the 21st century, instead of the military power of the 20th century.
