Fair enough mate, the reason the object is split is the design of the UFO, compared to the South American UFO, you can see what I mean. I don't buy your theory, you've tried debunking it from the get-go, that's fine Additionally the pilot said the object flew over them, before appearing to the side of them, at speed.

Can you show me a picture of the design? And then explain how this made the image appear as it does

Ive never heard of motion blur causing parts of the image to separate....care to explain?

They are sperated because they are different colors? All I see is a cylindrical object that is black on each end and white in the middle...
Also, this may or may not be "the best UFO photo ever" but I have yet to hear a decent reply as to what it could otherwise be.
It seems to me if an object has great clarity in a photo it is deemed as fake, but at the same time, if an object has blurry qualities it is deemed as something mundane.

I am more curious now about the pilots camera he used, and what the quality would look like if you were in a moving object, taking a picture of another moving object. This is what I'm wondering.....

This has already been debunked.
Its a reflection in the window.

It has been suggested that this picture is of a reflection or tape on the window , but that doesn't mean its been debunked , I see no evidence to back that up just as I see no evidence that its ET .

I believe the picture does have more to do with something on the window than something outside the plane but until we know what that is it isn't debunked .

You can CLEARLY see the reflection from the window in the plane that causes your UFO as several posters have stated.
This is NOT a UFO its a REFLECTION.
Your cluching at straws if you think it is a UFO.
It should be called a RFO, (Reflected **SNIP** Object) and not a UFO

You can see reflections of whitish streams running from the bottom of the photo to the so called UFO, so its either a reflection from something in side the plane on the window or its a reflection of the wing on the window.
Either way it isnt a UFO .

In your opinion, I happen to believe the pilots story including his account of those "streams" being vapour off the trailing edges of the UFO. And also, no-one has said that this is aliens but it is an unidentified flying object.

Sorry, but this picture doesn't even motivate me to research any further. If a topic is titled "The best UFO photo" or "The best UFO video" and so on, my expectations are always much higher. To be fair, though, I can't see myself being convinced by any UFO photo unless I took it myself. Even then I'd question whether or not what I captured on film was of extraterrestrial origins.

This picture (and pilot story) is intriguing. More so the pilot story about how fast it was moving and they could only 'sense' movement, which was too fast for the human eye to lock on to. The image appears strange, but please look at the whole picture with optimism. We aren't going to have the proof using our eyes alone, which goes against everything we have been taught since birth. I.e. seeing is believing.

The pic suggests that there is a two story UFO here, possibly in the shape of an open-eded triangle, or 'delta' shape and is eerily similar to the two story UFO witnessed by many police officers in Illinois (Lebanon, Shiloh Illinois UFO case. I've linked that case if you want to compare or refresh your memory.

Agreed, as I said I take the pilot on his word that this event was real. Whether you think it's a triangle or ferris wheel shape, that object was there and travelling at some speed. Seen that video before and yeah, that's an interesting case also, good witnesses etc.

I don't know about hate, but when something like these cases is brought up, it tends to get people excited, for or against. Also, of all the against opinions I've heard thus far, not one has been satisfactory for me.

This is a tough one. The reason being I can see the clarity of the plane...clouds....even the trees that are distance. The UFO in question is blurred....and I wouldn't consider it a motion blur. I didn't watch the video as of yet. How big was it in their own words? It also bothers me the left side is slightly but noticably smaller than the right. Maybe this is because it's angling upward? All ufo photos leave questions....but with the context of the questions is what makes it in my eyes not the "best ufo photo ever". I think the OP meant this more as a question than a statement.

You get a star and a flag from me - it's an interesting image and the story can only be interpreted as a hoax or genuine.

The encounter was witnessed by his co-pilot David Paterson as the pair flew along in their Cessana C-337 Sky Master over the Mojavi Desert. David described how a mystery black shape came at them head-on, then flashed overhead. Seconds later they became aware of a object moving a high speed at their side. He said 'There's no doubt in my mind that we had an encounter with a UFO - and I've got the picture to prove it.'

The alleged pilot, David Hastings, went on to be a councillor of his local parish.

The image caught my attention towards the middle of last year and prompted me to contact him for further thoughts. I hoped he would add more information, for example he might have explained it as a private joke or a hoax on someone. He also could have stood by the claim that he photographed a genuine object. I guess he could have denied all knowledge too...

I couldn't find a private e-mail and didn't want to be a random weirdo phoning his place of work. Instead I wrote a letter to the district offices at Thorpe St. Andrew.
