I have rented and seen Apollo 18 now that it has come out on dvd. I'm coming from the position that the footage is made by hollywood. One of the errors that they made is that it would not be possible for the astronauts to run as they did. They run around as if they were in the heavy gravity of earth, not the light gravity of the moon.

If anyone else has analyzed the moon footage for errors feel free to post what you have noticed here.

The movie was awful.

Without giving too much away I expected something else

It was made..that was the main error. I anticipated it for weeks..huge letdown. Not going to tell you not to watch because I know that you are going to watch it, so ...I will tell you now..I told you so.

Peace

It's acknowledged that it's a piece of fiction. It just has a blair witch advertising campaign.

first off your " scrutiny" sucks , and is very brief

secondly movies are meant for entertainment , not factual science text books .

you don't think they were aware ? do you really think such high budget films go without , contacting people in the field?

they added those scenes for action , running away really slow is not as cool as running away fast. ITs part of hollywood , just like in movies when you see someone steering a wheel , they don't do it like we do daily because thats BORING , they sway there hands back and forth .

can you please do a scrutiny on the movie avatar ? oh wise one , please let me hear your opinion on that and how many improbable things happened there??

some more "goofs"
www.imdb.com...

get over it. if i wanted factual space facts , i'll watch a documentary , get off my entertainment

I do hope you are joking!!!????
It is a FICTIONAL movie, filmed in the same style as, "the blair witch project", (or did you think that actually happened aswell?)
Please someone tell me that the masses arent honestly that stupid that they believe this is actual moon footage, lost for years now conveniently found and edited into a movie?
If you do think this is actual genuine footage, then i recommend that you turn off the computer and the tv and get outside into the real world and get a life.

I hate all of these modern horror flicks practically, but the ones I detest the most are the ones like Paranormal Activity.... oooooo the marshmallow moved. Scary!

I'll tell everyone not to waste their time. I did, and if lots of people had told me I would have waited to see it instead of pay-per-viewing what I thought would be a good film. Meh to the meh degree. (I don't usually give a negative report of a movie, this one, can't say anything good about it.)

I did a mini-review of it a short time ago. I'll repeat part of what I said then. "It was absolutely the worst movie I have seen in my life."

I would have walked out except a friend was with me. On the way out, he said he had wanted to leave also. I asked to women leaving about how they liked it, and without prompting they said almost exactly the same thing.

Every aspect of the movie was silly, terribly done or horrible. All of that hand-heldcamera business and constantly over the top noises and screaming was ridiculous.

You noticed, didn't you, that it went right to DVD. I believe it lasted two days in my local theaters.
