I am wondering, why is it that we see things this way? Why do we not see "defense" of Israel as merely a convenient excuse to pacify right-wing Christians that we may be about to engage in a "just" war, when really it is all about oil and the need to feed the war-machine? I don't think elitists who are running the show give a RATS behind about Israel.

Israel is the excuse, IMHO. Oil and Greed are the drivers. Anyone with me?

is doing as ordered . . . at least a couple or more things:

1. Depleting our military materiel and

2. killing off as many of our soldiers and sailors as possible--as he can get away with, . . . as well as

3. getting and keeping them out of the USA where they COULD defend us WHEN China, Russia et all attack CONUS . . .

4. Getting them in place to help light off WW3 in grand blood lust style.

My theory is that the sanctions where just a distraction and once they get the proper ordinance that can penetrate the nuclear facilities, we will strike. When we send special forces troops, we do not tell anyone the purpose of them so when I read (I forgot what the news website was) that they where "training local troops", I knew better. They are gathering information on the targets(nuclear facilities) for the attack which will happen.

They have a contract with boeing to fit the ordinance onto B-52 stealth bombers, so if that is not bluntly coming out publicly and telling people that we are preparing for war - than I don't know what is.

Come hell or high water, the NWO will have its third world war, as planned. Nobody really has any say in the matter.

I did not realize that you were not American. My apologies.

There was really no need for an apology. How could you possibly have known where I was from and from the context and my response it was extremely easy to confuse me for one who at least lives there if not a citizen.

Now the reason the founding fathers are so revered here is that they suffered great repression at the hands of the British. Peoples lands were seized without cause. People were jailed for little or no cause. unfair taxes were levied to benefit the king. People were forced to quarter british soldiers with no compensation, And many other versions of repression too numerous to list.

It is very difficult for a non-"white" outsider like me to empathise with the founding fathers for the "repression" they faced at the hands of the British, especially when they continued to extend the same or worse repression to others in the same lands when they came to rule.

But I can understand that some of you want to ignore the inconvenient parts and concentrate on only what is inspiring. Looking for inspiration from the past achievements is not uncommon and I understand that.

Oh I would also like to apologize for the actions of my government . I'm afraid that we lost control of them long ago. Just so you know the government doesn't actually represent the feelings or attitudes of the average American citizen any more.

Can't absolve the American public of their responsibility for the actions of their government. If they chose not to control their government, that is still their responsibility.

Whether you are white or not what does it matter. Why even bring race into the conversation. It doesn't matter to me if you are white or not. Race doesn't matter to me it never has and I see no reason to mention it here. If your stating it to make a point about your dislike of the founding fathers having slaves then perhaps I'm not getting the point.If you don't like the fathers of America because they had slaves , then you must hate the roman empire ,the greeks, the persians, and on and on etc.. I'm not saying that having slaves is right. I'm just saying that it happened in the past and it's time to get over it.

So how do you feel about present day slavery. Or don't you think that it still goes on today. It no longer does here, but it does in other parts of the world.

I detest hypocrisy. Exactly what kind of depraved hypocritical creatures who wax eloquent about unalienable rights to life and liberty while murdering the natives and holding slaves are is beyond me.

It is not just that they engaged in those actions that makes them despicable, that they claimed to be the defenders of the exact opposite. Sort of like a murderers talking about protecting the sanctity of life or a habitual rapist lecturing about a woman's right to say 'No'.

The only reason I brought race into it, is because, only possible way to justify the gulf between their words and deeds is that, they, as was probably common amongst their peers of the day, considered non-"whites" not human and what they said applying only to humans. Then their actions would not be inconsistent with their words even if their attitude is just as disgusting.

Contrary to what most people who eulogise those creeps claim, the US hasn't deviated from their "ideals", it just followed the same formula only redefining who are considered human to who those guarantees apply, but equally hypocritically refusing to define explicitly those who are considered human. That is why we keep hearing such mindbogglingly bizarre concepts as "humanitarian bombing" etc.

I would be equally repelled by anyone regardless of the geography or times who exhibited that kind of hypocrisy.

Yes and I'm quite sure that the people who founded your country were holy and pure and never did anything that could be considered bad in any way. Grow up and lose the attitude. You have taken this so off topic that I could scream. i thought that I could give you a small amount of information about my founders and my country. I have no desire to turn this into a senseless arguement.

This thread was about the troop buildup on these two islands that are stratigically located. The fact that we are now out of Iraq and have the troops avalible to man these islands to defend these straits is more important than this rediculous arguement.
