wow...lol...lol...dont know much about your state but only seeing ice like this 2 times had to be a fun experience....lol...I live in wv and we are
suppose to get snow alot of it during the winter..We finally got a little snow and some freezing rain...not as much freezing rain as you
though...looked like you were having a bit of fun...lol...thanks for your post..
I am surprised that you only remember having ice like that twice in 23 years. I live in Quebec and I see that at least 2-3 times every winter. I lived
through the Great Ice Storm of '98, so for me this isn't crazy weather. All the same any freezing rain can be a nightmare for some, and a joy for
others. If you can have fun with it, then do so by all means. Heck I sure did. For those who don't know about the '98 storm , check it out. That
was crazy once in a lifetime weather. I was one of those without electricity for a full 30 days. It took a hammer and wood chisel to get the ice off
the car.
thats just it though... 98 was the only ever time its iced this much in newmarket....
LOL these whole last 3 years have been crazy weather, dont give me that, now all this ice just got covered in a nice thin layer of snow for the
morning commuters to feel comfortable on until they skid threw a intersection and get t-boned
Maybe you can't really notice from my video, but i could practically skate down my street.... i dont know about you guys up in Quebec but that
doesn't happen here in winter, when it should be snowing
My intention was not to offend you in any way. Maybe I'm just a bit jaded when it comes to freezing rain. I've driven home at a whopping 10-15 kph
so many times in the past 27 years. I did say that any freezing rain is a nightmare for some. I have skidded past many red lights and stop signs
myself. If you're not driving then it can be fun as your sliding down the driveway shows. If you're just trying to get to the car and keep whizzing
past it, then not so much. Even worse when you slam butt into pavement feet in the air. If it's only the 2nd time for you, then yes it qualifies as
crazy weather for your area. My bad, apologies.
You're welcome. I do hope you had some fond memories of that experience as well as the bad ones. I got though it relitively unscathed myself, and had
a blast at times while being scared out of my shorts at others. Crossing the back yard when the neighbours tree comes crashing down is not something
you wish to repeat.
I remember once that i was driving my 84 ford Thunderbird and it just started i think freezing rain...well i pulled out of the gas station with no
problems what so ever and stoped at the stopped light..All of a sudden just sitting there my car started to move forward by itself...What??yep...My
foot was on the brake and i was totally stopped at t stop light just sitting there waiting for the light to change and then the car starting sliding
forward....Ther was so nothing i could do.....i think i just kind of went with it and then it stopped..lol..lol..
I had never went threw that before and had no idea what to do..lol..
Ll turned out ok...I wound up going back to the gas station and got a ride home....I did not want to chance driving my car...lol
Ice can be so so fun and so so scary as well...lol
