Our loyal opposition, the monstrous cabal of necrotic, geriatric white fascists, euphemistically known as the American legislative branch, who work tirelessly to subjugate the rest of us, are slowly regrouping after the defeat of the Stop Online Piracy Act. These spiritual brethren of Palpatine have constructed a new bill, OPEN, and SOPA itself is being reformulated in Febuary, when they will then attempt to pass it again.

We must confront their relentless gradualism, with a gradualism of our own, that is no less tenacious. SOPA and all such acts must be stopped, once and for all; and the freedom of the Internet must be guaranteed.

This is generational war; the elderly against the young. We need to find a way to stop these ghouls; to drive them back, and to cease their endless assault on anything which they do not directly control.

The Native Americans might have seen their elderly as the bedrock of their society. In our case, the elderly are the bane and scourge of ours.

Maybe a guilt campaign? Ask random old people "why do you hate the young" type stuff. The age to run for the House is 26.

If we could get enough youth voters we could in theory take the house. But it is a pain to get anyone to vote, it is like pulling teeth. And in the end you just want to smash the person in the head or something for being a lazy git.

Obama Signs Global Internet Treaty Worse Than SOPA

This is much much worse then we can imagine liberty lovers.

Under the provisions of ACTA, copyright holders will be granted sweeping direct powers to demand ISPs remove material from the Internet on a whim. Whereas ISPs normally are only forced to remove content after a court order, all legal oversight will be abolished, a precedent that will apply globally, rendering the treaty worse in its potential scope for abuse than SOPA or PIPA.

That depends on your political perspective. The last time they did something I liked was back in October 2011 when Republicans blocked another part of Obama’s job’s bill (intentionally misleading title), which would have made the economy even worse. Sometimes the best you can get is to block things (if you’re in the minority).

They don't accomplish anything positive. All they do is provide police with more and more rationale for chasing the public.

That depends on your perspective. If you’re looking for handouts and a pat on the back every time you smile then you’ll probably be disappointed. If you are a miscreant then you won’t like authority of any kind.

Although you could lose the last two paragraphs and change the title. A "generational war"? If anything it's a conflict of freedom vs control, and I've met some very controlling teens. You don't sound so open minded yourself.

Is anyone trying to pass around a message from pillar to post about boycotting all major music and film releases from ALL the big players ?
I would have thought handing out flyers at movie theaters and music stores would be happening by now. Even pleas around forums to stop buying dvd's, cd's, mp3 and streaming media etc.
Given that they want to destroy the internet for greater profit, why is nobody sending the message that the consumer will destroy their businesses until they stop their disgraceful attack against the very people that pay for their comfortable lives.
Do they not all say in the industry, including the actors and musicians themselves, that they love doing what they do so much that they would do it for FREE ? Put it to the test, lol !
