Hi All

My names Bob and I live at the end of Africa ... Cape Town to be specific. I stopped believing in our government and what they told us long time ago . Right from the old evil government to the new corrupt government.

Served my time in the Army and saw some really bizarre things over Namibia(South West Africa) during my time there. I even met a pilot who claimed to have shot down a UFO on the border between South Africa and Namibia.

I have been a lurker on Abovetopsecret for a long time but now I want to join and add my views if i can

Thanks

Bob

How are you doing Bob! (name sounds a little fake, no offence!)
Welcome to ATS from Cape Town, my father has been there before (he was in the Canadian Navy at the time), and i am actually wearing the belt he brought back to me right now! (its made out of camel leather so i'm told?)

All governments are corrupt my friends, or at least nearly all of them. As for the corruption of your government, it is caused by the corruption of our governments here in the west (the blanket of the west i should say, canada, us, Britain).

I suggest you read this book here! Its in PDF format: Confessions of an Economic Hitman

It outlines and tells a very good story that everyone should hear, it is a new york #1 seller, and has lots of information in it as to why a lot of countries who have been in contact with the US are screwed. Cheating trillions of dollars out of countries like yours, and many, many other countries.

I border South Africa, I'm in Zimbabwe. Yeah...don't get me started on corrupted politicians, its just so outright blatant here that its become something of a joke.

Hi All

Yes that was a good read! I know every government is corrupt but , my my my ... you have to see ours. Every department head or agency in the government are enriching themselves to the detriment of basic services. I dont know if we can blame the West on this or just years of oppression and bad education.

Some days I just get so depressed about it. Nice to see some other Slaapstad people here.

Wow! Camel leather!!! that's pretty cool. We get a lot of visiting navy ships in our harbor all the time . Mostly we get big tankers from the east. Its always funny to see the tourists when they come into town and they don't see elephants and lions in the street....

Thanks all for the warm welcome

Bob.... (totally fake)

Hows it flowin Bob? Nice to have you. Your country always seemed like it was a beautiful place (scenery wise). You have some incredible native animals. Have you ever encountered any cool animals like large cats or zebras? I love animals but the coolest thing I have local to me is possums and deer (and the occasional whales, dolphins or shark in the ocean).
Although yesterday I got a call from my sister who said her cat was sparring with a beach fox in their driveway.
Anyway Ive always wanted to take a nap with a lion. Nice to hear from you Bob!

Ha! nice game. Yes I once lived in a game reserve with Zebra and buck around my house.

Ask Brad-H ... if he is on the border then he will see loads of game.

Hi Bob, welcome aboard!

Always great to see fellow Saffers on ATS!

I come from the same "end" of Africa, but since there's no up or down in space, I like to see it as the "beginning" of Africa.

I've also heard rumors of the Kalahari crash, but little definite info and thought it was an urban legend for a long time.
It would be great to get some more information, and I'm looking forward to your threads.

No its probably not all caused by the west

But there is a good portion of the world that is under the control of the Corporatocracy, read the book
,
Share it with your friends

Soon will be the time to fight the system and bring peace to all people. It is not the people that hate eachother, it is the governments that are making all the global decisions. I attended college with some people from Iran, and Iraq (i think?), We are all people. And its time for our governments to bow to the people.

Tolerance
Acceptance
Preach it brotha bob!

(I totally knew it was fake
)

And yeah.... We may have a corrupt government (which is a problem in its own), but you can't knock the comedy they've been providing us on a consistent basis... Entertainment value: 10 out of 10

Wow, so nice to have so many fellow SA people here and other nice people. Ya this government does provide us with a good laugh some times. I know that the west has a big part to play in the state of Africa, colonialism was a bitch, but some African countries have been independent for 40 years and are still a sad mess.

I wish i could remember the dudes name that claimed to shoot down the UFO, all i can remember is that he flew chase planes for the new government and Mandela. He did show me pics of what looked like a mirage fighter with a laser beam in the nose that he claimed was used. This was around 1984 according to him and I remember thinking that he was a bit strange for telling me all this stuff.

He also told me about how they used a transponder to bring down Samora Machel (Mozambican President) because he was allowing insurgents to come into South Africa.

en.wikipedia.org...

Sighhh!!! so many forgotten conscript hero's from the war in South Africa.
