ATS 2004 Presidential Elections

I was wondering, wouldn't it be great to do an ATS 2004 Presidential Election.

Doing it for everyone on the board, OR split up for US citizens and non US citizens. With 3 results, 1 combined and 2 for the seperate groups of people.

For the split up method it would be required that everyone has his "location" filled in and locked for a certain period of time, to be sure that as little as posible non US people infiltrate the true group of US citizens.

Would this be posible to setup by the time the US elections are officialy held?
And should it be done only that day, or give ATS members a few days or a week in advance time with the official "popular vote" being called(or if you want to make it truely reflective to reality, make the final presidentail vote go the same as it does in real life, where the electoral college has the final call)

What you all think about the idea and Skeptic Overlord and other moderators, do you think its something posible to setup by the election deadline?

Good idea. Great idea actually. Unfortunately, we probably don't represent the true vote. As crazy as ATS members are, voters are crazier!

I still think it could work and even if it doesn't, its still a nice thing to do

This was done already wasn't it? I remember voting lol. I think Kerry and Bush tied according to ATS voters.

oh im def up for it. lets see how the some of the most intelligent, well-versed people on this planet wud vote. it cud become a traditional thing, every four years we all vote, over a longer period to allow people to get here.

except. being in america i dont mind it, but i know international folk often get annoyed when fantastic sites, like slashdot, which are open to the entire international community because they dont deal with only really specific, domestic issues, start to focus more on just their own country. itd work for this election, id think, cuz everyone everywhere is knowledgeable about it, its far more polar than most anything else (short of probably the lincoln election).
