Our guns were taken away in the 90's after a mass shoot out. The gunmen shot like 15-21 people in under a minute, from the hip getting all headshots!

Australian citizens are still allowed to purchase guns, albeit, no automatic weapons are allowed. So over here you have to get a license to own a Pistol, you can;t really get any other weapon.
