No. I believe that, as far as engineering, it would be child's play today. However, the costs involved would be prohibitive to build a single structure with a thirteen acre footprint - with only two or three small rooms inside!

The cost for insurance alone (liability and worker compensation) would be prohibitive for such a useless structure.

To say that some very old, now extinct culture knew how to make fine gold chains is not outside the realm of possibility. The thing about science is you're supposed to keep an open mind, while still questioning things, not outright ignore things that you don't like.

We still don't know how the pyramids were made, or how giant obelisks were placed, we only have theories, which have worked. A theory that worked still doesn't say 100% for sure the ancients did things that way though.
