Prophecies of Rasputin

Rasputin prophecised that Tsarist Russia would be followed by a nation where the worst and least able to govern, did exactly that. He stated that it would last 70 years.

The Russian Revolution took place in 1917, but in actuality, the Soviet Union was only formally constituted on 30th December 1922 and ceased, not when the wall came down, but officially on 26th December 1991 - a period of 69 years. Furthermore, the last of the institutions of the Soviet Union actually was not closed down for about 6months afterwards, making it just a few days short of ...70 years.

Supposedly he prophesied the follwoing in his "Last Will and Testament." from www.damninteresting.com...
If the will and testament are authentic, then Rasputin really was on to something:
•“I will die before 1 January…” He was killed Dec 30, 1916.
•“if I am murdered by the boyars and noblemen…” He was killed by two relatives of the royal family.
•“at the end of twenty five years, not one nobleman will be left in Russia” Not sure on this one, but most of the royalty was either executed by the new regime, or fled Russia.
•“Brother will kill brother, everyone will kill each other and hate each other” The Communist revolution was a bloodbath. Even after the revolution ended, the regime of fear created by Stalin continued the blood and hatred.
•“none of Your Family, none of Your children and Relatives will live more than two years” The Romanov family was executed July 16th, 1918. His other family members will also executed. (Not all died in the course of 2 years. One of his Rasputin’s murderers died in 1967, another died in 1942 of tuberculosis, a third in 1920.)
•“disgrace and shame of the Russian Land” depends upon ones point of view
• “arrival of the antichrist” Lenin or Stalin, take your pick.
•“destruction of the Russian people” they survived didn’t they?
•“destruction of the…Orthodox faith” It was certainly hampered a bit under Communism, wasn’t it?
•“poverty, pestilence” There were years of hunger and poverty following the years of revolution.
•“desecrated temples of God” Stalin destroyed many, many Russian Orthodox churches and they were used as graineries, barns, etc.

First let me congratulate you to have opened this thread that indeed refers to the life and the legacy of a great man, somebody that deserve to be remembered in better way for the future generations.

It is time to remove from the public opinion all the distortion of the facts and also the terrible discredit that the British spionage did against the father Grigory Efimovich Rasputin along the years of the WWI, until to promote the plot that ended with his martyrdom.

There is too much lies, too much exagerations and also grave false attacks that received a tremendous echo in the western media about the real character of one of the most enigmatic mystics of all the times as it was Rasputin, a person that was in many aspects a trully Holyman, although not perfect as any human being.

The black legend created in a so irresponsible way by the media, by various very dared and why not to say, incredibly biased films that supposedly tried to portray the real personality of this seer, that surprised and mesmerized the Russian court for the most important years of the Nicholas II rule, but that in fact destroyed totally his actual charater, even the children have been exposed to this terrible political propaganda until our days in movies like the famous Anastasia cartoon of Walt Disney.

I had the fortune since child to listen the true stories, the comments from some of the real witnesses that knew very closely Father Grigory since his early years in Western Siberia as well as the members of the high Orthodox Hierarchy of that time that introduced him into the St Petersburg high spheres of power. I have reserved for long time my right to talk about this figure openly but I think your thread is a great opportunity to do so.

Rasputin was neither a mad monk or an evil or satanic sorcerer, as it was roughly depicted by the British secret service just because they didn't like the sincere and pure friendship he had with her Royal Highness Alexandra, Tsarina of all the Russias. The only real reason for which they wanted to destroy for ever the memory of Rasputin was because Alex was a German princess before to marriage Nicky and that was all the problem.

With Father Grigory as an advisor and protege of the Tsarina, he made her extremly powerful and lnfluent in all the State decissions, and that was what made paranoic the British goverment that considered that Alexandra could be doing a double game trying to protect the German interests in the conflict.

- No body has shown such a resistence to die than father Rasputin, it was necessary to practically kill him three times to extinguish his life, and that is a clear signal of the Divine protection.

Epic fail.

Rasputin was not commanded to keep prophesying. Neither was Joseph Smith commanded to prophesy about temples remaining operation in Missouri which did not remain in operation.

Biblically in order for man to be a prophet he must follow the Old Testament requirement to refrain from intentionally prophesying unless COMMANDED by God to prophesy.

Otherwise he is in danger of misleading the people, even if unintentionally. It is a prophet's duty to refrain from intentional prophesying and let God work through him and let God himself do the prophesying.

Were you present in the middle of the woods of the Siberian Taiga when Gregori Rasputin experienced his visions with the Holy Virgin St Mary? I think the answer is clearly No.

You are trying to judge something that you are not really in position to qualify or disqualify since it goes well beyond to your scope.

Revelation in modern times also exist, the ministry of prophecy is not reserved just for biblical figures, since it is a gift of the Holy Ghost. Rasputin responded to a direct instruction given to him from above, he didn't have the profile to enter into the circles of power that surrounded the Tsar, but he certainly was able to convince key figures because he knew things that he couldn't know without revelation from God.

This man that was not literate or fully educated was in possession of a top secret that by that time no more than probably 10 people were aware in Russia, and all were living in direct connection with the Royal family, were their members or closest servants. There was an oath of strict confidentiality that if it would be violated concerning the information on the Prince Alexei illness might be paid with life.

Really? Aren't you over educated?

I mean when I first became interested in religion I had Christians drop by my house while I was attending college who were offended that I had invited the Mormons to preach their message. Yet. They didn't come by before the Mormons in a Christian spirit and concern for my salvation before I invited the Mormons.

The Mormons said that there were only two churches. The Church of Jesus Christ and the Church of the devil. And these paid ministers getting indignant at my invitation to the Mormons expressing my right to freedom of religion as guaranteed by the Consititution and the severed limbs of US soldiers detonated by beastly Islamic people, convinced me that the paid ministers were in fact of the devil. Until I discovered Brigham Young's comments about six foot tall Quakers on the moon and politely asked a church leader about this who promptly threatened to abduct me.


And then I saw this comment somewhere on the internet. Which basically suggested that "Sabbatarians" are actually the beast. I've seen Benny Hinn and faith healers. Oral Roberts claims that Jesus threatened to execute him unless he produced 8 million dollars. Mind manipulation by Methodists, Baptists who seem to be on the Mormon payroll.

They conduct themselves with slightly less honor than the men I served under in the US Coast Guard.

The Russian Tsars had a nasty habit of executing political rivals.

Not for treason, but for idealogy.

And Rasputin if he had belief and respect a Higher Power as a deist should have shunned the tsar for murder without justification. I'd say Rasputin's downfall and the tsar's downfall was divinely orchestrated given the tsars murderous tendencies.

Dear Miracula2,

I think , with all respect for your extremely imaginative curiosity, let me encourage you instead to speculate with irresponsible theories that reveal just xenophobia or ignorance to try to investigate the international conspiracy arranged by Germany in WWI to destabilize Russia.

This was not the work of God at all, but a Machiavellian International political plot, that is what really triggered a revolution that otherwise it would be unlikely to occur in such a place and time.

The Kaiser William the 2nd, a really mad monarch, made an evil's pact with the fanatic Marixist leader Vladimir Ulianov ( alias Lenin) who was political exile in Switzerland since 1905 to remove his own cousin from the throne of Russia in exchange for an armistice he needed to give air to Germany in WWI.

Considering how Stalin was able to turn a collapsing defendant empire into a superpower, industrialising at an unprecedented rate, defeating numerous nationalist rebellions AND defeat Nazi Germany, I'd hardly call him the least able.

He was a monster, but by no way was he an incompetent ruler.

Corruption under the Brezhnev era and Gorbachevs intentionally self-destructive "reforms" killed the system.

Once an empire starts to collapse the end result is inevitable. Sometimes a strongman comes along and can preserve the empire for a generation or two. Most of them fall from internal divisions too.

No, I respectfully disagree with you. What collapsed the USSR was nothing done by Gorbachev or even Brezhnev, it had a seed in the way it was financed the Bolshevik revolution.

While Lenin moved into a an exile in Switzerland, after the frustrated revolution of 1905, another communist terrorist, Leon Bernstein, alias Trotsky, went also in to exile in New York.

Lenin got political support from the Germans to his cause, promising a peace treaty if he arrived to power, but revolutions need money, and that was the role of Trotsky, who literally sold in Wall street futures of monopoly of exportations of manufactured goods, as well as raw materials, to the new Soviet State.

Many of the richest families among the strongest American Capitalists bought those futures and make The USSR economically dependent along all their History from the West.
